Installing an Aqualux (Desiree) whirlpool bathtub

Get out your digital test meter and check the switch for continuity and operation. If that passes the tests, follow the wires and look for a relay that operates the pump. Also test the pump motor for resistance.

Disconnect power from the system. 2. Purchase a can of www.ultra-lube.com (This type f lubricant will not cause breakdown of rubber, silicone or plastic seals) multi purpose lube. HomeDepot sells it. Black green and silver spray can. 3. Remove the knob using the right size Allen wrench. 4. Spray lube into the neck of the actuator. 5. Wipe off any lube from the knob shaft. 6. Re install the knob and push pull a few times to distribute the lubricant. 7. Restore power and test system.

If this does not solve the problem then there may be a mechanical failure in progress. Go online at the manufactures website to order a new switch.

Try and blow the lines out with air, sounds like something is stuffing the water jet. Drain system and turn off power first.

Other than chopping out more concrete.elevating the tub is probably your only other solution. I would think 2" would be adequate.

well i never heard of this brand and if you cant find info on line it would make me wonder.a bathroom is a big expense i dont think i would take the chance

To answer this, I'm going to need more info. The unit you are stating isn't listed as a brand. I can't find any info about this at all anywhere. The name sounds more like a model but not the brand name of the unit. If you can answer with a brand, I might be able to get more information.

I'm Harvey the Master Plumber.

Your question is: Your daughter just purchased a new condo with an AquaLux whirlpool tub installed in the bathroom. The front side is removable for access to the mechanicals and is held in place on the lower side by velcro. When you pull the velcro loose the side begins to tilt up, but then stops as it hits the upper edge of the tub. You tried pulling down, but it appear to be held by something. You don't want to pull too hard and break something. Any ideas on how to remove it?

It has been my expirience that the top of these access panals are 'tongue and grove' type construction and are not connected to anything. Usually disconnecting the bottom and pulling the bottom out works. If you are concerned about breakage then it migt be wise to consider the Repair Directory to find a reparman. Or you could talk to the condo maintenance guy. You'll find these guys are a wealth of info.
