PUK Code
PUK stands for Personal Unblocking Key. This is a unique eight-digit code specific to your SIM card. This is required when the PIN number to unlock your mobile phone is entered incorrectly 3 times. You are then given 10 attempts to enter your PUK code. If an incorrect PUK code is entered after the 10th attempt, you will block your SIM card permanently and will require a new SIM card from your mobile phone provider.

The PUK code is not related to the handset. It is associated with your SIM card. When you enable the PIN in your SIM card, every time you switch on your phone, you will be asked for your pin. At given number of tries provided by your mobile operator, that you have provided the wrong PIN (usually operators set it at 3 tries), then you came to the stage called PUK-blocked.

To unlock, you would need the PUK code of the SIM card. The PUK code is usually an 8-digit code. This PUK code should have been provided to you when you purchased your SIM card. Some has the PIN-PUK code printed in the card body of the SIM card, while some attach it as a separate print out. Should your operator failed to provide this PIN-PUK code to you, you would have to get it from your operator. Try calling their customer service. you would have to contact your service provider to get the puk code to unlock the pin. code: **05*PUK*new pin*re-type new pin#.
But you would have to verify puk code from your service provider first b4 you try the process on your phone

If you have a phone lock code on it and you can't remember to code try the defaults 0000 1234 12345 00000 etc. if you can't unlock it contact your dealer with proof or pruchase or contact a samsung service center, you can get those details from www.samsung.com you will most likely have to send the phone to be unlocked.

you can try entering these two codes without a sim card in the phone. write them where you would write 911 phone should restart. then insert the sim card and try turning the phone on.

If these don't help then contact samsung for unlock service you will most likely have to send the phone to a service center.

samsung phone "PUK blocked Call SOS" - i have the PUK code but cant put it in as its not giving me any option other than call sos. how do i put the code in to unlock it.
