My Kogi L7eh has an extremely dim display and doesn't bring up the adjustment menu when I press the monitor buttons. When the computer is in an idle state, if the monitor is on, it also begins cycling between solid red, green and blue screens. I first noticed this after my computer had been turned off. When I turned it back on, the monitor wasn't turning on at first. After restarting and trying to change the monitor settings (with the buttons on the monitor), the menu was in German, and the screen off center. Now the online problem is that it is very dim, cycles and I can't change it's settings. When I hit the buttons on the monitor, a small box appears at the top, but it doesn't have any text, nor can I do anything with further button presses.

SOURCE: on screen display on monitor locked and need to restore factory settings

Hold the menu button down long enough and it should unlock, if it unlocks and then locks back up immediately, you have a problem on the main board

SOURCE: kogi monitor will not go black when turned off

Hello,

Please provide me some answers to the following questions in order to provide a better solution. Also this questions may help you to better understand the nature of this problem.

1. Can you see an image on you screen? (even if it's distorded and shown only in one of these colors or randomly)
2. Does the monitor cycles these colors normally when it's not connected to a pc in order to make a self test?
3. Is the video cable properly connected to the computer and the video card is firmly attached to the motherboard?
4. Can you test the monitor using another pc?
5. Does light taps on the side of the monitor's casing change the pattern of the color cycling problem?

If these tips doesn't help, please provide some answers to these questions and I'll try to help you with some ways to fix the problem based on it's description.

I just hoolked up a Kogi l7 eh 17

It may be that your video card is too old, that probably is the problem since you are running Windows 2k. If not open up your monitor's menu and see if you can manually change the monitor's resolution. Newer monitors do that.

I need a power supply for my Kogi L7EH-TA monitor

I would not recommend this because my monitor will probably burn up from doing this but; I just lost my power supply last night and I took a power cord from my seagate external 500 GB hard drive which has the same pin size plug in that goes into the monitor and plugged it directly into the wall. I assume that the external hard drive uses the same ac to dc converter although it looks just like a cord with no inverter capabilies. Not sure of the amps though and this could burn up the monitor completely. Works for now.
