I was just given a mitsubishi large screen tv. I don't have a manual to tell me how to hook it up. I have only removed my old digital tv from my cable box ,dvd, stereo etc. But, the back of this new tv is huge, so many outlets, where do I begin?

Do you have the input turned on that you use the xbox for? Try different inputs as well. If you are getting the menu to come up, the blue screen is telling you that you don't have a signal being run through that particular input.
What type of hookups are on the back of tv ? Do you have an HDMI hookup if so try using that If your tv comes with a game mode look in back before u hook it up to place it in right spot. One last thing why don't you try hooking up old fashion way buy adapter for regular cable hookup and use channel 3 or4 that might help
I have an old Mitsubishi Tv , your instruction manual is good and thorough and if you don't find it there check online with http://www.mitsubishi-tv.com/ use the support section there.
There is something I remember and it may be the model you have---Mitsubishi can tell you or you can look for yourself----a few models made at about the time this set was made had 2 mirrors----one a tiny one that faces up and reflects the picture into the large rear mirror.
Dumb idea--the little mirror gets coated with dust and brightness drops up to 70%---
The safe and correct way to know is to remove the entire front screen with its frame---both mirrors (if yours has 2) will be easy to see.
The large mirror hangs at a angle and down so it never gets dirty--don't even think of touching it or using glass cleaner on it--any mark on it will show in the picture.
let me know if you want to remove screen unit to see if one mirror or two---a call to mitsubishi would answer that.
The caps on the power board have failed most likley. The V26 Power repair kit from www.tvrepairworld.com should solve the issue in most cases it does come with detailed repair instructions.
