Battery died, computer notified me to change batteries for a while. Computer does not turn in with or without battery when ac/adapter plugged in

first suggestion :
if some 1 with the same computer model can lend you his battery or ac adapter or both for a while u can then make sure if ur battery is ok.
second sugestion:
get to the mainboard
there is a jumper near the cmos battery usually shows the
word (jbat) near it , try to change its position for some
seconds while power is off , this way will clear cmos and set the
mainboard bios to default settings.
start the system hit delete or F2 to enter setup then exit saving changes.

The Toshiba laptops are famous for the power jack wriggling loose from the motherboard. Once it gets so loose the adapter power stops and it uses battery power until that runs out. You can usually move the power cord around until it starts working again but this is just a temporary fix and the jack will eventually need to be replaced. Most computer shops charge between 100-250 bucks for this service.

You probably have a problem with your power adapter. Since you mentioned that the battery discharges when connected to the adapter, it means that the charger is acting as a load instead of the other way around. This is a typical behavior of a defective charger.
Try to check the output of your adaptor using any voltmeter. The voltage reading should be approximately close to the voltage rating as printed at the back of your laptop. If not, then its wiser to buy a new ac adapter instead of sending it for repair to electronic shops. Most of these chargers are no longer reliable when repaired, and might cause more problem to the laptop instead.

Yes Quite Possibly the motherboard is fried...

I want to try a very simple thing, cause it happened to me, while I am working on my computer , it shut down unexpectedly... cause the processor is working with its full performance and no enough cooling around the laptop. so while I move to other place and also I raise the laptop a little bit from the back to let the fans (bottom of the laptop) works perfectly .
try to open it again and do so.... may be it is a so simple thing that was far from your mind like I was before... good luck
