First you need to remove the door from the oven, Open the door fully and on the hinges you will see a little flap bit on each hinge, flip them over so they lock the hinges open.
Left the door up slightly and you will be able to remove the door.
Place the door on a soft surface handle side down and remove the screws around the edges, You will see how it is held together and be able to finish taking it apart.
When putting it back together make sure the insulating material and the rubber seals are located correctly.

Testimonial: "in the past i have had the cooker on its side, its back etc. to try and get to the hindges from inside the cooker itself. This was so easy to do. thank you very much Owen, as my wife had wanted me to buy her a new cooker. the oven door looks brand new again. RESULT. By Roy Beard."

SOURCE: Clean Oven Door Glass

It is much more complicated than that. There are usually more screws once you take out the first 5. There are a total of 3 panes of glass inside the door. If you are very careful to note how the door comes apart once you've removed the screws, then you will be able to do this yourself. Just be aware that this is going to be more complicated than it looks. Lay the door on your counter or floor with the outside of the door up. Take out all the screws around the outer egde of the door. Lift by the handle and turn the top half of the door over so the handle side is on your counter. You will see 2 panes of glass held by the same bracket on each side. You only need to take one of the brackets off and remove both pieces of glass. Now you can clean the inner most piece of glass. Then clean the 2 you removed and put them back. Now reasssemble the door in the reverse steps. Make sure that all insulation and seals are back in place.

A fault of too much cleaning.

NEVER clean inside a microwave with a ball of kitchen type stainless wire wool.
I did, a tiny piece of wire too small to notice stuck to the glass door; a fairly long microwave cooking session melted and fused the wire to the inner glass of the door; there was a snapping sound and inspection revealed that it, the inner piece of glass, was finely crazed and too dangerous to use.
The cooker, a superb Brother manufacture (no longer made) was ruined; a replacement piece of glass being unobtainable.

Door glass shattered 3 hours after cooking

Hi there folks It also happened to me, so after ringing rangemaster they said it can happen due to faults in the glass, unfortunately my warranity had run out and they wanted t charge a fortune to repair. so i had a look inside the door my self which is only four screws on the sides to remove the outer skin to find it was a single piece of ordinary toughend glass about 300mm x 300mm fixed in place with six clips like the ones you find one those glass picture frames, i got a new piece from me local glass merchants for less than £10 and it took only mins to fix job done, I hope this help someone and it my save you quite a bit of cash Cheers folks Markbricky

Door glass shattered 3 hours after cooking

The problem is with the glass. They apparently did not use a strong enough tempered glass during manaufacture. I would call the company and tell them what has happened. They should replace it. It must have been a design flaw or something else. They should make it good. They may want to make a recall.

I need to replace my outer glass door of my oven its an indesit i have all the parts but just can't get the old piece of glass off any ideas? please

You may have to disassemble the door to get to it. Are you sure this is not a double paned glass and it is 2 pieces of glass in one assembly?

Smeg 90cm oven - removing inner glass plate of door

First you have to unmount the door from your oven (descriped in the manual how to do).
Then next, remove the screws that you have mentioned already of the inside of the door (the inner glass plate is mounted by adhesive on the outer part of the door). After yo have removed the screws, the inner door can be parted from the outer door. Wupti - now you are able to clean the inner side of the glass platen of the oven door.
