Please help my tv is a sony kdf-50-2000 date of tv is july 2006. i took the back of my tv off, and used a low pressure air compresser to blow the dust out. i then put the cover back on, and now the tv wont trn on it flashes 3 red lights? please help with any info. thank you, josh [email protected]

I had the same problem guys! This is what I did:
My T.V. wouldn't turn on. The standby light was flashing six times, then four, then seven...I called Sony and they told me to unplug it for a couple of minutes, then try it again...didn't work....BUT, I have found a solution:
Try unpluging your T.V. for 4 hours+, then turn it back on. Worked for me! It's called a "hard reset" by sony. I had my T.V. unplugged for the whole day though.

The flashing timer light blinks out a code, where it flashes some number of times, pauses, then repeats. The code indicates what fault is keeping the set from coming on. Unfortunately, all the codes tend to mean that there is some electronic problem with the TV. Unless you have some electronic servicing skills and the necessary equipment to troubleshoot the problem, you'll need to have set checked by a professional. For any code there can be many causes, so I can't offer any other advice.
This might be a good time to check sale prices on LCD sets. Let a technician check the set and give an estimate for the repair, then decide.

Sony TV will not turn on. Standby light flashes four short flashes.
"click" in set sounds like something is trying to turn on.
I have a KV 28FX65. When i swith the Tv on, i only have sound for 2 sec, then an audible click and nothing. no more sound. no image of course.
the standby indicator flashes 4 times, stops and start again.
Can someone help me ?

MY sony tv wont turn on, standby light just flashes mutliple times. sometimes I hear the sound then it goes dead. no video or audio just a blank screen, then it turns off.
