My printer keep saying out of paper when it has paper

Try this fix:

There could be something blocking the paper path. Try to shake the printer upside down. You'll be amazed of the things that falls off inside the printer. Also, make sure that there's no paper left inside the printer. Tiny pieces of paper will still lead to paper jams.

If the printer is sensing a paper jam, then there is either a small piece of paper jammed under a sensor, or the sensor is falsely reporting a jam.

If you cannot find the sliver of paper, I suggest that you contact Canon Technical Support or take the printer to an authorized repair shop.

There 's a torn piece of paper blocking the paper level sensor. Re check all areas where the paper feeds. the try re insert the paper, if its clear . turn printer off for 5 mins then turn on and try again

You may have too much paper in it.Take some paper out and try it again.

disconnect the printer from the computer
do a manual paper feed
if it can feed paper, replace usb cable or try another usb port

Auto paper load & paper jammed

I had exactly the same problem and had to stop my flatmate trashing the thing! Try buying the cheapest, nastiest supermarket printer paper you can find! Works great in mine...
