We have a Windows 7 (64) desktop and 2008 Server. Our C450 is set for authentication and uses the public user for print and scan. I loaded the print drivers for PCL. When I try and print I notice 2 things at the Mintola: 1. when looking through the print log it shows the computer name. For all other print jobs it shows public user. (I don't know if this has any affect, I'm throwing it in here for troubleshooting purposes). 2. The print job makes it to the Mintola, however is deleted due to an error. Looking at the details it is a Login Error. I can have our dealer come out for $150, but I feel we are very close to getting this to work correctly. Any suggestions?
We have been having this problem and I am trying to find an easy way to push the fix out to all users automatically. What I have found is that the driver automatically inserts the Windows network login name as the user name under "Authentication/Account Track" insteead of the "Public" user. Even though I have it set to Public User in the driver on the print server (and defaulted to Grayscale), It has to be manually set for each user on their PC's driver. More often than not, it also has to be set in the Printing Preferences in the application the user is trying to print from (Ex. MS Word, Acobat Reader, etc.).

Hi,
I've just had the same problem - empty the LCT and close it. Open and close the front door of the machine. This should clear the code (it worked for me). Then reload the paper in the LCT as previous
SOURCE: Ocr scan for Bizhub C450
Hello,
according to what I read on the C450 biz hub, in order to do OCR you
need to use the option that scans to SMB, that sends the scanned
documents to your computer on the network. You can then process
the documents on your computer with the OCR software program so you can
edit the finished documents. I did not see anything that
indicated the Bizhub had OCR software capabilities built into the
unit. Regards, rcampsr
