Generally, EF error is showed with an additional number on your display... EF 1, EF 2, EF 3, EF 5, EF8, or EBF.
Each error code will depict a different cause and solution. Out of these solutions, the most common is the control board and possibly the UIB (User Interface Board), or too higher mains voltage coming into the house, causing damage in this UIB device.
Test and check voltage, if this isnt solve it, relace UIB device.
Hope this helps.
Just EF error means oversuds; EF with beeping means the motor is hot, possibly from using too much suds.
It has an auto sensing feature, by measuring the wash load resistance against the agitator when it turns, etc., this is why it gets hot from too much suds.
Reduce the powder amount / correct type, and maybe try reducing the actual load by around 10% to see if this helps; remember that you must unplug the machine from the wall to clear the code for operation 15/30 mins.
