My four year old unit does not get the clothes completely dry. I took off the lint trap grill and cleaned ( a lot) of lint/dust out & also vacuumed the duct (vented to outside wall). A normal cycle of 32 minutes ends before 32 mins-- and the clothes are still damp. I suspect it is a 'faulty sensor?' Is this something I can replace myself? Thanks!
Andeb, 90% of the time long dry times are caused by blocked vents. If you are sure that this is not the case there are a couple of things to check. First check the sensor; press the more time button and less time button 4 times until 88 shows in the display.(more time,less time, more time, less time). Open the door and you will hear a beep and a see a code. On the inside just below the vent screen is the moisture sensor. Moisten your finger and lay it across the sensor strips covering both. If you hear a beep, the sensor is good. Sometimes they build up with fabric softner and need to be sanded lightly. Another issue might be the burner coils. Remove the bottom panel and check to see that the burner is igniting and remaining lit. Sometimes these coils become week and will not sustain the flame. I will attach a diagram, look at number 13 and 14 on the picture. These are the coils. Catriver..post back.

Thanks for your post! I am embarassed to say that I thought our dryer was gas...(our water heater/stove/furnace are) however, the
dryer is electric. I did pull the dryer out and vacuumed the back
of the dryer, vent (cap was stuck partially closed) extremely well. Then I did as you suggested- to check the sensor. It beeped
after running my moistened finger across 2 bars. A code of 3E came up. I then ran a heavy load of whites and it dried it completely the first run.(the first time in a while) so does it sound like the vents needed to be clean well? Thanks again for your great input. Deb
I do have the gas dryer GEW9200L. The sensor tested good as per instructions. In regards to it being a burner coil is that something that can be replaced and/or fixed by someone who has a better than fair knowledge of how a dryer works. Is there something else that could be causing the clothes to be warm and wet even after a full drying cycle?
