Novice Hi, i need information about the best cd deck to use with my receiver. Having had a seperate cd player SONY MHC 510 which has lasted many years it has finally given up. I have decided to use the SA-XR15 and get a seperate cd deck. The seperate unit i have seen is the SONY SCDEX 597 + 2 phono x 2 phono connection leads. Is this ok. regards THE BISHOP

you need a CD head cleaner try Best Buy they usually have one cheap it's a CD with little brushes on it

You need to have the fan in the check,possibly its not working anylonger

my guess: the belts are broken by age - so the sensor (detecting cassette moving) means its the end of the cassette & switches A/B/A/B....

I have a Sony MHC-2750 and the belts broke on the CD Player so I just used rubber bands as the belts and it worked! Hope this helps,

Yes, it needs all of the above. It's ONLY a CD player.

A novice would need to know a little about receivers, source (input) components (like this CD player, DVD players, tapoe decks, turntables) and speakers.

i have a sony mini Hi-Fi Component System MHC-GX470. I comes on, the Radio and Tape deck plays well. the CD Player says "mecha Error" and hangs. CAN YOU PLEASE HELP ME???
