Oven When the oven is turned on, it keeps trying to self-clean. The handle is not set for it to do that. What could the problem be? It's an electric stove. Top burners work fine.
Neal, the only thing I can bring up with that model number is a built in wall oven. You said the top burners work fine, so we are missing something here. Sounds to me like a stuck or shorted keypad. Catriver..post back

Hi, If you cannot turn the breaker back on then it is no good...some breakers do take some very firm effort to get them to come on...but the oven may have ruined the circuit breaker...
If the lock does not open after the oven has cooled down, then try this: First, unplug the range or shut off the circuit breaker for ten minutes. Plug the range back in or turn on the circuit breaker. Set the clock and try moving the door lock lever or opening the door. Next, set the self-clean cycle again and only allow it to work for twenty minutes. Cancel the self-clean cycle and allow the oven to cool. Gently try moving the door lock lever or opening the door
I had the same problem. We took the door off completely & turned it upside down. There are screws on the bottom of the door, take them out, take off bottom trim piece that holds the outside glass panel in place, remove glass panel and you can access the door handle screws and clean the inside of the glass while you are at it.
I used the self cleaning mode for 2 hours and the error f2 keeps flashing and beeping, I did try to power off with the breaker and left it off for about a half hour and it still continues to beep and flash f2, what should I do?
If you unplug the range and remove the lower rear cover on your left side you should see the motor with 2 switch's on it. There are 3 possibilitys with it. One of the switch's on the assembly is not working or the light switch for the door is not good. You also can disconect the lead to the motor and connect a power cord to it and that will unlock the door so you can check the dor switch also. if you do not feel comfortable powering up the lock motor then you should call a repair man. But one of the switches is not letting the computer know the dor is locked.
You oven is locked because it is self-cleaning. Some how the handle got moved and it initiated. You may need to let the oven finish self-cleaning. Usually, it can take about an hour to complete the process. Afterward, the oven will beep when done and your oven can be opened. Good luck.
