Jordan, That would be ieal if it had a Sim Card BUT I'm trying to unlock it so that I can use it on Orange in the UK. The phone was originally gifted to me when I was in the middle east and I just put it (in the box) into my luggage. Therefore I have NO Sim card for it other than my Orange Sim.
    Thanks anyway

Hi! My AC is leaking. I bought it from QVC april 2009. it's been fine. all of a sudden it's leaking out the bottom. the plug is pluged in and when i try to drain it a little water comes out...

If it's leaking water and it's an electrical appliance. Water & electricity don't mix, do they? So, first turn the unit OFF and unplug it from the wall. But, not if you're standing in water.

Here's the problem: The plastic tubing that's supposed to drain the water into the bucket is clogged and it's draining it onto the floor.

Remove the water bucket and look up into the bucket cavity. You should see a small hole or tubing. That's the drain to the bucket. Using an 18" long plastic Zip Tie, appropriately sized to fit that hole or tube. Carefully insert the Zip Tie into it and continue to insert it, until you reach a bend in the tubing. You must gingerly work the Zip Tie past this bend, until it either bottoms out or you run out of usable Zip Tie. Then, slowly pull it back out while rotating (twisting) it. This will breakup any clogs. As you reach the inserted end of the Zip Tie, be prepared for some water to follow. If you don't have a Zip Tie & don't want to go out and buy one, you may use something similar. But, NO wire coat hangers.

Hope this helped you solve the problem.

How to unlock boost touchscreen phone

Hi,

Let me give you a little background and then some solutions. This is generic because I don't know your carrier. I'm useing ATT as an example.

Phones are naturally unlocked, but a service provider might lock them

When originally manufactured, all GSM cell phones are unlocked. That is, they can be used with any SIM from any cellphone service provider - always assuming, of course, that the cellphone service provider has compatible GSM service on the same frequency bands that the phone can operate on.

Most cell phone service providers electronically 'lock' the phone so that it can only be used with their service. There are obvious reasons why they choose to do this - in particular, to force you to pay what are usually very high roaming charges when you take your phone out of their network and use it elsewhere in the world.

Fortunately, this locking is reversible. With some phones, it is possible to simply enter an unlocking password code into the phone and it is immediately then unlocked. Other phones need to be connected up to a special unlocking data terminal.

Your phone has to be unlocked by the carrier. LG, Motorala, Sony Ericsson, Nokia and most of their ilk, will not give consumers the unlock codes but don't despair.

A PUK (PIN Unlock Key) code is required to unlock SIM cards that have become locked following three successive incorrect PIN entries. If your SIM card becomes locked, you will need to get a PUK code from your carrier. For example, if you have AT&T to unlock your SIM card, you can obtain your phone's PUK code from AT&T by:

? logging in to your myWireless Account online
? using their Technical Support Chat
? calling Customer Care at 1-800-331-0500

To get your phone's PUK code online from ATT:

? Log in to your myWireless Account.
? Select My Services under My Account.
? From the My Services screen, select My Phone/Device.
? Select Unblock SIM Card.
? The Unblock SIM screen will display your PUK code.

Once you receive your PUK code, you will need to enter it into your phone to set a new PIN code.

Note: If you enter the wrong ATT PUK code 10 times in a row, your SIM card will be invalidated, and you will need to purchase a new SIM Card. The phone will display the following error: "PUK blocked call operator."

There are three other ways to unlock a phone:

? The carrier will unlock the phone for you at one of its retail outlets;
? You can do it yourself by clicking on this link Free Unlock Codes ,
? Pay $3.89 at the following website: www.theunlockshack.com/.

I trust that this is helpful and solves your problem. All the best

I have a new bb 8830 world edition phone on a Vodafone GSM network. I have requested for the bb service to be activated. Which the service provder has. Unfortunately, the settings are not received by my BB...

Looks like you just change your original sim card with other network sim card. You must unlock your blackberry first before you can using other network in your phone. What you need is blackberry 8830 unlock code from your original phone network sim card. You can get blackberry unlock code from network provider or buy from third party sites which have lower cost rather than network provider.

How can you activate wap in my samsung e250?

Hi!

Usually you need to talk to your phone service provder (Vodafone, Optus etc) and ask them to activate WAP on your account. Once this is done, you need to specify your service provider for WAP in the configuration area of your phone.

This is usually easy enough to do provided you feel comfortable enough to change your phone's settings, however Samsung Technical Support are usually very helpful & one phone call to them explaining that you want to configure your phone for WAP will fix the problem.

Their phone # is: 1300 362 603

Hope this helps :)
