The CD player must be connected to an amplifier to work. You can not connect speakers directly to this unit. If you do have it connected to an amplifier, check to make sure any tape monitor switches are off.
It was burned in an incorrect speed or format.... the ps3 has a wider range of supported formats... try to burn it at a lower speed... somo steros can't read self made CD's
WELL THIS RADIO CD PLAYER WILL NOT WORK WITHOUT AN AMP HOOK UP IT JUST SENDS A SIGNAL TO THE AMP AND THEN TO THE SPEAKERS. YOU MAY HAVE TO FIND THE AMP THAT DIRECTLY HOOKS TO THIS UNIT...
First check you dont have a red line through your speaker on your toolbar. If so click it and "UN-mute it.
If using external speakers then check that the speakers are plugged into the GREEN port on the laptop and that the speakers are powered up with the volume at about 1/2 way.
Open volume control.
When the box with all the sliders opens up click on OPTIONS (top left) Click PROERTIES
Make sure that Volume controls, Wave, SW Synth, CD PLayer, Line IN, and MIC all show on there and that the volume sliders are about half way up.
Make sure noe of the sliders have ticks at the bottom, if so UNTICK them.
If any of those are missing click options then properties from the top left and put a tick besides any that were missing (nothing else unles you know you want that item)
Now close the slider box.
Put a normal music cd in your cd/dvd player on the computer and set it to play with windows media player.
You should now have sound out of the speakers.
If not double check that you have no problems with your hardware from the device manager.
I want to know if you still can volume it down. If don't then your volume button sw for down was damaged. If still can, your cd player's memory is not functioning. Check the wiring of batt. memory back-up wire from the player, this must be connected to unswitch power supply. ( the power supply is always "ON")
Akai CD player playing very S L O W L Y and the CD door won't open and if it does, it goes into ewject mode. Help!!! Has an internal motor died??? Can i be repaired???
It sounds as if the power leads are not connected properly.
Make sure the memory lead is connected to a constant 12+ volt source, and the switched lead is connected to a 12+ volt power source that is controlled by your ignition switch.
CANNONT RECIEVE SOUND FROM THE FRONT N REAR SPEAKERS WHEN PLAYING A CD/DVD. THE RADIO AUTOMATICALLY PLAYS THROUGHTOUT THE CAR. WHEN SRC DVD/CD IS SELECTED NO SOUND EMERGES. SO I PUT ON THE DUAL ZONE. AND THE ONLY WAY TO HAVE SOUND IS TO HAVE ONE ZONE TUNER, AND THE OTHER DVD. WHEN I REVERSE THEM OF COURSE THE SOUND WILL SHIFT EITHER FRONT OR BACK. IF U CAN HELP ME FIX THIS AND RECIEVE SOUND FROM ALL SPEAKERS WHILE CD/DVD anPLAYING I WILL APPRECIATE IT. THIS IS COUPLE MONTHS NEW. IT WORKED ONCE OR TWICE IDK HOW THOUGH. AND NOW I'VE TRIED IT ALL BUT STILL CANT FIGURE IT OUT. i went into the zone control and turn off the rear and i still have nothing. pleease help
I have a similar problem. When I switch the unit on it comes on at full volume unless I go to the bass or treble controls and change them down and back up, then it's ok.
