it sounds like a hardware issue if it started heating up a lot. i haven't heard any fail or successful root causing that. i recommend searching on how to obtain your OEM rom and find the company's program they use to flash their stock rom. it was a hard process for me on my LG LUCID years ago. had to find kdv files or convert them to that. im hoping the process wont be the same for you. you will probably have to look up what buttons to push to boot up into update or rescue mode. sorry i dont have the specific solution.
Performing a factory reset using hardware buttons
If you can't turn HTC ChaCha on or access settings, you can still perform a factory reset by using the hardware buttons on HTC ChaCha.
Remove the battery, wait for a few seconds, then reinsert the battery.
Press and hold the VOLUME DOWN button, and then briefly press the POWER button.
Wait for the screen with the three Android images to appear, and then release the VOLUME DOWN button.
Press VOLUME DOWN to select FACTORY RESET, and then press the POWER button.
Sindia, this sound me software problem, when your device has a software problem it wont charge or start at all normally, so try to hard reset but this will delete all data for hard reset follow the instruction : 1. Switch off device; 2. After 3 min, Press and hold volume down button and power on button once it shows 3 android images appear leave the buttons and press volume down to select a clear storage, and then press power and then press volume up to start the factory reset. after this process your device wil reboot and start normally. now your device is ready to use.
