My dyer is makes a loud, rattling sound.

When first inspected, I noticed the blower fan was broken. I replaced it and while it took care of the shaking, the rattleing noise is still there. It's loud. The dryer still heats and tumbles so I can dry clothes. But, again, very loud.

Did you find what caused the blower fan to break in the first place?I suspect the casing around the fan may not be clearing and something is in the fan again. or the keepers to keep it on the motor shaft are loose. The rollers for the drum and belt may be faulty. these are all of the parts that move so it has to be one or more of them.

Testimonial: "I will check into the fan area more. I found a nail that went through the dryer and believe that is what broke the fan. Thanks for the tip."

The blower fan was correct. However, the motor became lose from its spot and was causing the rubbing which was causing the noise. With the motor back in place, all fixed.

Hi My bissell proheat 2x 9500 is making a loud noise when the brushes are moving. I replace both belts and cleaned the brushes. Can you think of anything else it could be.

Hello there,
Try using other brush attachments, as broken bearings in a brush attachment will cause noise. If these troubleshooting techniques do not work, you may need to service the engine.
Remove the filter and bag of the machine and make sure that they are not clogged or full of debris. Clean any filters according to the instructions for your model or replace the bag. Excessive debris will make the engine run noisily.
Inspect the hose of the vacuum and remove any large debris that may be clogging the inside of the tube. Large amounts of dust, as well as stones or other hard materials that bounce, may cause a loud noise in the engine.
Remove the housing that conceals the engine of your machine and inspect the fan for damage or clogging. Remove any dirt or debris that may hinder the movement of the fan. Inspect the fan for any damage such as bent or excessively sharp blades. Replace the fan blades as needed; contact your vacuum manufacturer if the fan is damaged. The replacement part will include instructions.
Tighten the fan with a ratchet if it is loose on the assembly. A loose fan will make a rattling sound as the motor revs.
Wipe dirt and dust from the frame of the engine. Large quantities of dirt or dust around the motor can cause it to overheat, which can cause vibration and loud noise.
Look for corrosion around the engine. If the engine is corroded, it must be replaced.
Grease the bearings of the engine if you hear a grinding noise from the vacuum. Greasing is often performed through ports in the engine, or by removing the bearings. However, the actual greasing method is model-specific. Consult your owner's manual or send the vacuum to a service professional for this service.
Inspect the inside of the vacuum cleaner for other worn parts or broken pieces. Worn or broken pieces can cause loud noises to occur. Remove the broken part and order new materials from the vacuum manufacturer or take the machine in for service.
Hope this information was helpful to you. All the best. Elect_Comp

Drum not turning-very loud sound coming frm dryer when turned on

There could be multiple problems with you whirlpool dyer depending on the type of noise you are hearing. If the noise is a low grumble or loud buzzing sound this could indicate a bad motor. Which could explain you not hearing the drum turning. If however you hear a grating or grinding type noise but the drum is turning, this could indicate that something is rubbing or has become jammed inside the blower fan that circulates the air. if this is the case it too may have to be replaced. Also the drum can sometime come off the drum support rollers at the back of the dryer, but this is very uncommon, and only happens if they are very worn or broken. This can easily be diagnosed by a technician and if the motor is fine, will cost little to repair.Hope this helps.

Thanks

Air conditioning fan makes loud noise the faster you ru it.

Concerning your broken vent -- this can be caused by a broken linkage or a malfunctioning servo motor as well. these vent have air ducts the sway back and forth to adjust the dual air flow function. if the servo o linkages are malfunctioning or not connected for some reason, it will not allow total control of the air flow and temperature range. Now, if you have a combination of a flow error and temperature error as well, thai can be caused by a combination of the two.

In this case, you will need to inspect the linkages as well as the servo motor function as well. in addition, i would test the air temp sensors for there operational value. they control the temp when you adjust the coll or hot function.

Concerning the Loud noise coming from the blower fan---

This issue can be caused by a misalignment within the blower housing or, it can also be caused by some minor damage within the motor itself, causing it to rotate in a erratic manner, in return, forcing it to rub against the housing itself. the best solution here is to extract this blower fan housing and inspect for lose fan propeller and motor stability. replace parts accordingly.

PLease rate and have a great day:)
