The V6 has a new battery and has been charged. No matter how long the red end call button is held in, the phone will not turn on, even if still connected to the power supply. There is a sim card in it. I thought that the original charger was to blame so I put the v6 on another charger. It is still not working. I have done everything else that I have found on the web including:
-Change the battery
-Charge the battery
-Make sure the battery is in the correct way
-Changed the charger
-Inserted a memory card
Is the phone dead or is there another problem? The phone was purchased a couple of years ago so it is probably out of warranty and I do not want to get it serviced? Any help in reviving the phone would we appreciated. Thanks.

This site doesn't help with this sort of thing but others have found solutions on XDA developers for this sort of thing. I don't endorse it but it may work.
