I have had this washing machine for 10 years and it has worked beautifully. But now it is taking forever to fill with cold water - hot water is fine. Presumably the cold water inlet hose is getting old and needs changing.
Can I buy one somewhere in Sydney Australia and attach it myself or is it an intricate job? I am pretty resourceful.
Any help will be appreciated.

If your washer is still under warranty, I would call the company and have them send someone down. If the leak is from either the drum itself or a seal then I don't think you could handle it yourself. But, first make absolutely sure that it's not from any hose connection. Tighten all the connections, especially those to the drain pump. And check the pump itself for any leaks.

If you can indicate which lights are displayed when the machine is beeping, that gives one the fault code to be able to tell what the fault is!!

you could have a jammed power or sart\pause button, these quite often get corrosion on the PCB and then the switches fail ON, if you can turn the machine on it is not dead, it can be repaired but you might want to get a technician in to reapair PCB. Also it would be helpful to know what lights light up when in error mode.

If you cannot see the water leaking from the inlet valves, check the seal just above the water pump located directly under the drum. I am in the midst of awaiting parts to fix this very thing on my FP GWL11. This leak is dripping water directly onto the motor, causing it to trip the circuit breaker during drain/spin cycles.
Note... I have also had to have the inlet valve assembly replaced as well as it was not opening to allow cold water to mix with the hot.
Hope this helps.
