Dremel Stylus AC/DC Adapter 230/240V Transformer primary is open circuit any idea what the AC output of the transformer is. I should be the same for 110V input transformer. If I can find the output voltage from the transformer I can probably get a replacement

I would contact Dremel.com and talk to their tech department about a warranty repair for this tool.

This is the charger, its getting a reading from the battery that its charged when it isn't. I don't know exactly how that charger is wired but, to be suroe it is the charger, as I have had similar problems beforehand.

These are not user serviceable. Return it to Dremel, a Dremel service center in tyour area, or if it was recently purchased to the seller and request an exchange.

Just bought a dremel 1100, fully charged battery but will only run for 10 seconds at a time. it just shuts down then if i turn it back on it runs for another 10 seconds and stops again

Change tha capacitor 220uF and it will probably be fine! I did and now it is as new!

Dremel 1100 for in a few seconds

Change the capacitor 220uF 25V and it will charge properly again (at least that is the result I got and several others here at FixYa).

Easy to do and cheap (component around 0,2 Euros) work about 2 min,.

Battery is flat or has a problem, the dremel does monitor voltage/current and shutdown to prevent battery damage, failure or fire. First step is to ensure the charge is working properly.

My stylus is doing exactly the same thing. l was advised by numerous people to change the capacitor in the charging dock, they also said that you can find youtube videos to guide you through it (the capacitor only cost a few cents when l bought it). I really should finish doing that job, although l did actually remove the 'screws'' from the base, l warn you- they are triangle and a nightmare to unscrew, see if you can find a triangle screwdriver BEFORE you start, or you'll end up doing what l did and destroying a perfectly good straight screwdriver!??. Dremel Stylus model 1100

Change the capacitor 220uF and it will most certainly work again. I got the idea from FixYa and it solved my problem!
Easy to change just 2 soldering points and a component costing around 0,2 Euros. If you do not know how to operate a soldering tool ask someone for a quick assistance. The switch takes around 2 min (1,5 min to open the charger and 0,5 min to change the component!).
