Print stops printing "blue" after first 1/3 of image is printed.

Rest of image prints orange. All of the blue is gone after the first 1/3 of the printing job. I have cleaned the heads and ran a test page from the utilities section and it prints fine. Once I try to print an image from my Photo app it only prints the true color for the first 1/3 of the page and then everything is orange after that. Both ink cartridges are full. How can it print great from the utilities section and then from my photo application not? I haven't done anything different to my settings since the last time I used it for printing photos. I would try to reload the software for the printer but I can't find my Installation CD. Thanks in advance! Stan.

Why are my prints only printing the reds and blues in photos?

Please next time put the question in the correct category. I still will try to help you.
If your printer does not tell you any cartridge is empty, and it still does not use that colour it could be the nozzles of one cartridge are blocked. Check this by printing a test page, as told in the user manual. Sometimes called an alignment print.
Then check if all colours appear correct. Looks like yellow is not working correct.

I have a hp 3310 wireless. It prints in colour well but if you print in black most will be not clear although a line every so often is printed clearly. If you print the same document the same lines...

What you are trying to print is created in RGB. This means it is a photo that has been created in a color format that will ONLY print if you print it in full color. If you try to print your photo item in only black, it will only print what it sees in TV Colors, a combination of RED GREEN BLUE. This is why you will only get part of the image printed when only in black.

The only way to change it to print the whole image in all black, is to open the image you are trying to print in Photoshop or another professional grade photo program, and to change the settings of the image to CMYK, effectively, Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, Black. Then, change the image once again - to GREYSCALE. This will effectively change all the colors to a SHADE OF GREY, in different HUES.

Save the picture as a JPEG, and then print from the desktop, from your picture viewing software that came with your computer, and you will see everything print out from the black ink, in greyscale.

I have an hp deskjet 5550 printer. I had the color cartridge refilled with color and placed it back in. Problem: when I print an image, say a tree, it prints the very top green and the rest of the image in...

it is always advisable to use genuine HP ink cartridge.

In the meantime , you may try to clean the ink cartridge with a slightly damp lint free cloth.. You should only dab the golden color electrical contacts of the cartridge and also the inside contacts of the printer ..

before you take out the ink cartridges to clean, it would be a good idea to unplug the power as well.. now, after cleaning the cartridges, wait for about 10 seconds, and then reinsert them..
also replug the power ..

This should ideally print an alignment page and then check by printing a color image... If the problem is continuing, then pls change to a genuine HP cartridge.

Hi, (MX850) My blue ink has stopped printing. I

Performing Maintenance:

Note :
Be sure to install the ink tanks in the correct order indicated by the label on the Print Head Holder. The machine will not print if an ink tank is installed in the incorrect position.
Step 1
Printing the Nozzle Check Pattern.

If lines are missing or if white streaks appear

Step 2
Print Head Cleaning.

If the problem is not resolved after performing Print Head Cleaning twice

After cleaning the Print Head, print and examine the nozzle check pattern (Step 1) again.

Step 3
Print Head Deep Cleaning.

If Print Head Deep Cleaning does not resolve the problem, turn off the machine and perform another Print Head Deep Cleaning after 24 hours. If the problem is still not resolved and if you are sure that the ink didn't run out, then the Print Head may be damaged. Contact your Canon service representative.

Hope this helps.
All the best.

I cannot do a Print Screen with my Dell Latitude d610. I have tried all combinations of Ctrl+Prnt scrn and Fn+Prnt scrn. Any idea's?

Based on your keyboard layout, you don't need a key combination to capture your screen. Just press the "Print Scrn" button and your screen image will be copied to your clipboard. Now if you have pressed the "Print Scrn" key, go to MS Paint or any other image processing programs and "paste" it there.

Notice that your "Print Scrn" key is printed on top of the keyboard key and in white color. That means that it is the default key when pressed so there is no need to combine with Fn or shift. But if it is printed in blue or orange (your Fn key should be in blue or orange also) that is the time you need a key combination.

Canon Pixma IP4000 cyan ink will not flow even though I have repeatedly cleaned and deep cleaned and replaced ink tank.

If you have gone through the process of cleaning and deep cleaning, as described by canon, and you still get no ink flow after printing 2-3 pages, the print head needs to be replaced.
Here is WHO to contact and HOW to install the print head:
