The coffee beans are not entering in the grinder disks and since they rotate without coffee the machine understands that their is no beans. You need to clean the grinder disk and grinding coffee funel to bee sure their nothing blocking the coffee movements. Use a vaccum cleaner and try to clean everything in grinder and grinder exits. Try also the machine by regulating thegriding to more gross coffee and when it will start grinding normal then you can udjust step by step back to grinding position you have at the begeining.

SOURCE: my delonghi esam5500 coffee bean grinder part is

In our case we were lucky. Grinder was blocked by the beans. This is what I have done with our Delonghi 5400. It looked fiddly but was quite simple really. I started from the back panel. Once back panel was removed I had access to 4 corner screws that remove both side panels. Now that give me access to 4 corner screws that hold top of the machine. I l also had to unscrew 5 screws that hold coffee container in place. 4 are visible once the coffee beans container is open, but the 5th is hidden in the middle of adjustment arm with a black cap on top.(adjusting how fine you grind). I used small sharp screwdriver to lift the cap. Once all are out I removed the top of the machine and then the funnely coffee container too. That exposed grinder assembly. Top of the grinder is actually loosely sitting in the lower part of grinder. Twisting it counter clock should release it I Think. Our was not budging, and I had to completely remove the grinder and detach motor but that is quite obvious too, and probably not needed. I just wasn't sure what I was doing. Our machine was out of warranty so... Would be nice if we had some schematics.

Saying fill coffee beans but is already full

Does it give this message from the moment that it starts grinding? or does it already give this message from before you can press anything?

In the first case: vacuum the compartment out, check the grinding mill by turning the grinding size up and down until it goes a little more smooth and fill it up again.

In the last case: Check if there are any switches in the compartment where you fill the beans. Check if there is no dirt/dust underneath or around the contact and if so, clean it up. Refill the machine and try again..

I need to refill my bean bag. What kind of product do I need to buy and how often do I need to refill my chair?

You first need to decide what kind of product you want to refill your bean bag chair with - virgin filling or reground filling. Virgin beans are denser, keeping a nice round shape. Since all of the individual beads are the same size, they shift around each other with ease when you are positioning your body in the chair. Reground (also known as recycled) are not as uniform as the virgin beads. They are not always the exact same size, meaning it may take an extra moment to get yourself situated comfortably. I prefer reground bean fillings for my chair because they are better for the environment and cheaper to buy.

There is not set amount of time that dictates how often you need to refill your bean bag chair. It largely depends on how often you sit in it. The average time is about one year.

The red light blinks under the coffee bean?

The red light on the front of this machine is simply to let you know that there is some issue with the machine: it could be that the grounds receptacle is full, the machine is out of water, or it doesn't have beans. Please check all three areas. It may be that the receptacle, even if empty, may not be pushed all of the way in. Even if the water reservoir is filled, it may not be properly seated on the valve. If the beans appear to fill the bin, it may be that they are not reaching the grinder for some reason and need to be pushed under the tray which shields the grinder. Finally, once you've check these issues, you will want to open the front door of the machine as if to get to the inside where the grinder is housed and then close the cover door. This will then cause the machine to reset. Note, you don't need to do anything other than just open the front cover from the left side as it swings on a hinge on the right and then close the cover again. You can also turn the machine off and on again to cause the machine to reset. This will take care of your issue of the blinking light, assuming you've corrected one of the three things above that originally caused the issue.

How do I clean my burr mill (Models BMX3, BMX4, BMX5 and BMX6)?

Clean your burr mill before using it for the first time. Then, to ensure optimal mill function and durability, clean it regularly following these simple steps.
  1. Always unplug your burr mill after use and before cleaning.
  2. Open the hopper lid. Empty any whole beans from the hopper. Remove the top burr mill by rotating it clockwise. For better results hold the grind setting button while rotating the burr mill clockwise. This will allow you to clean the grinding wheel and the grinding compartment.
  3. Clean the interior recesses with a soft brush. Note: Never use water or liquid for cleaning the lower grinding section of this appliance. BRUSH NOT INCLUDED.
  4. Wipe the whole bean hopper, its lid and the mill exterior with a damp cloth.
  5. The ground coffee chamber and lid can be washed in mild detergent and water. They both are top rack dishwasher safe. Do not immerse the mill or the whole bean hopper in water or any other liquid or place in dishwasher. Use only non-abrasive cleaners to remove stains.
  6. After completely drying the whole bean hopper and top burr mill, replace the burr mill in position by aligning snaps with receptacle and rotating counterclockwise to lock it in position. For better results, hold the grind setting button while rotating the burr mill counterclockwise. Once the burr mill is in position, pull gently to check it is properly locked in position. If the burr mill comes out, repeat this step again.
  7. Replace the ground coffee chamber and lid, making sure both snap securely into place.
  8. Fill the hopper with whole beans.

WHY WON'T THE COFFEE BEANS SLIDE DOWN INTO THE MILL TO BE GROUND???

Beans as you know have lots of oil on them. Over a period of time, the oil from the beans get caked up on the shoot, or hopper area where beans are filled/stored and so it needs to be cleaned. First get as many beans out as possible, then take a soft no lint cloth and put little vinegar on it, and clean in area best you can. ( make sure machine is unplugged ofncourse) then, spray a little Pam in that area, let completely dry, then add beans and should flow easier . Thanks for using, mike from fixya
