Hi, i have a panasonic PT47WX53G and the lines, the volume, and channel lines are out of focus, one is below the other one. i tried to fix the convergence, but it didnt work, then i tried to set it back to default and i also didnt work. so i called a technician, and the guy came to my house and in less than 2 minutes used some cables to check the back of the tv and said that i had no regulation in the power supply of the tv. he charged me 79 dollars just for these two minutes. and he said that to fix it, would take another 500 dollars. so i want to do it my self. but i have no idea of how can i do it...

It will be best to replace the power supply regulator board as card basis rather than making "Surgery" to it; which usually will make loss for both money and time. Even though you can make it right, it will cost around an amount equal to the cost of a new board; including the cost of (spare parts + service charge) More to say, most of the spare parts to it will be difficult to get from open electronic spare part market. This is true to most of the flat panel TV power supply boards; irrespective of its brand and screen size.

Panasonic tv pt47wx53g wont turn on- red power light on front blinks 5 times over and over

5 is short protection and usually means a short on the 140 dc line inside the set.

The most common cause is the Horz output transistor is shorted ground.

If you have some skills and have a multimeter I can tell you how to work on this problem.

PANASONIC TV MODEL # PT 56WX33G BLINKS 5 TIMES CONTINOUSLY AT ON BUTTON ,NO SOUND ,NO PICTURE

Hi,
The symptom is no quick fix because your unit have an out of regulation condition in the power supply that is caused by faulty parts in that area or in its load. Leaky capacitor, cold solder is commonly caused by this problem. It will give an unregulated supply cycle and once sense by the processor it will not power up the unit unless isolated. Also to consider faulty IC regulator and open fusible resistor in lined with it. This is technical and need to be check by the professional. I've advice you to send it to your nearest Panasonic Service Center.
Check also if it is still under warranty, avail it because the manufacturer of your tv will fix it for free or a little charge only.
Hope it may help you.
Have a nice day!
Thanks for using Fixya.

Mackie 1604 VLZ3 Issue.

Hi kielhunt
It sounds like power supply issues.
You may have bad capacitors and/or bad regulators.
If you have a multimeter you can get in there and check the dc voltages for ripple(ac voltage mixed with dc) or over/under voltages along the +/- 15volts lines.
Good luck

Output volume varies, with loss of bass and clarity

This sounds more like a power supply problem. I would have the voltaeg regulators checked along with the filter capacitors in the power supply area.

Connection and Reception

I would suggest to try another phone. I am considering that the phone line is okay. It is possible that there is a fault in the power supply inside of the base station. I have seen the supply section in the base station go defective causing hum, and or complete failure of the phone.

If the power supply is at fault, the failure can be a voltage regulator, or some bad capacitors, or something along that line.
