Recording in Acid Pro 5

I have Acid Pro 5 and would like to record live music from an instrument... A am somewhat familiar with Acid Pro, but I cannot seem to get the rcording to go through on 2 channels. I am running my audio through firewire, on a Prosonus Firebox. Any ideas as to why I only get one channel when I record?

Me too. I have a Presonus Firebox and can get only one channel (left side) to record in Sony Acid Pro. The same box works fine in Cubase LE. Perhaps the problem is with the Sony software?

Are you plugging the instrument directly into the computer? If so you only have mono jacks from your bass, guitar so on and so forth! So in channel in only one to record! Try using a stereo microphone and record pointing at the amp. That way you will get stereo through your device. If that is not the problem make sure that the settings on the Prosonus is set to output stereo. And for most check all your plugs to make sure they are stereo inputs and outputs.

Im Using Acid Music Studio 8.0 With & Xenyx502 Mixer. Every Time I Record It Sounds Fine But When I Play It Back When Im Finished Its Off Beat How Do I Fix This??

check the "buffer" setting - set to the lowest number possible. You can't eliminate the "latency" but you can reduce it a lot. Also 0 try to monitor what you are recording with "live" sound (input instead of output) - also, you may need to download a different driver for your audio card, try ASIO4ALL

Hello, I have a new black jack interface and Sony Acid studio on my PC with Windows XP. when I plug in an instrument, I can hear it in the headphones of the Blackjack, but not in the computer speakers. but...

Look at the setups for voice and audio in the Windows control panel, "Sounds and Devices". Make sure the devices are set to the sources and destinations you want... This is not automatic and is a pain when you are going back and forth from recording and playing...

Acid 7.0 music recorder

It sounds like the software is having trouble locating a recording device. If you go in to the settings for the application, you should be able to select/see the audio input devices. Does the device you are trying to record to show up and is it selected as the active recording device?

Problems Recording Vocals with Sony Music Studio

If it's the problem that I've encountered, you probably have Kaspersky. Many people have had the same issue. I almost took the ACID program back to the store. Kaspersky is possibly scanning the file while recording and erasing the sound for some reason. Pause the protection and it should work fine. It worked for me and others. If you don't have Kaspersky, then disable your antivirus, but stay off the net while it's disabled. Hope that helps.

Not able to record vocals

Make sure everything is routed correctly in Windows. Double click the speaker icon on your taskbar, go into options, click preferences. You will have the option to view playback or recording settings and levels. Select recording and click OK. This will allow you to select which inputs are active for recording.

If it still doesn't work, make sure you have Acid configured to your sound card. I am not specifically familiar with Acid, but all audio programs need to be configured specifically to the system that they're running on.
