I think I have the same problem on my LNT4661F. I happen to also have a 4061F and just temporarily swapped main boards, which confirmed that it is NOT the main board which is bad. Swapped LVDS cables to confirm that's OK too. If you replaced the T-con board, then that leaves the power board or the panel. Did you make any progress on this?

All the caps on the power board look good, but I hear a whistling noise from one of the power transistors.

Samsung ln-t4042h turns on, plenty of sound, backlight works,...

Check the fuses on the T-CON board and also verify that it does have 12vdc feeding it. If you look at your screen in darkened room you will probably see slight glow on the front of the screen.

Take ur tv aparts.The power supply board is the board that ur power A/C power cord go into it.U know basic electronic.U have soldering iron,know soldering,and solders?Check all around the power supply board.Look all around the power supply board,check and see find any defective gases leakage capacitors.These dead capacitors alway have bulges or fuff up it top.Replaced these dead gases lekage capacitors will solved ur power problems.Or tries Websites like Shopjimmy.com,Ebay.com to buy a whole refurbish power supply board for the replacement.

The tv will not turn on

Look at the power supply first since it is easier to get to, look for burnt parts, bad capacitors, etc.

NTSC and Pal are mainly related to Cable/Air reception. Unless you are trying to connect a SCART cable, you can probably just use the video inputs of the TV. Power Supply differences will be the big issue probably.

Samsung LN-S5051D keeps clicking but won't turn on

Faulty parts on PS board , bad press for Samsung

Because the Samsung LNS4051D would not turn on and the power LED would blink 4 times and the relay would click and this would repeat again and again. I replaced power supply board parts CM806, 811, 812 & 817, all 1000 uf 10v capacitors, three had their tops bulged up slightly that I missed on initial visual inspection. After seeing the reports of problems with these caps on http://www.fixya.com/support/t1336881-will_not_turn_or_off , I replaced them with Radio Shack part 272-1032, 1000 uf, 35v. They are slightly bigger, but fit OK. TV is working fine now. Cost was 4 x $1.59 = $6.36 plus the time. I saved between $100 to 300 in the process of either replacing the board or getting the unit serviced.

Try to check visually the capacitors on power supply if bulged replace it..

I have this identical problem. I called samsung and they said it was only a poblem with the 2007 models (LOL) so too bad. Have no idea what a capacitor is as I'm a nurse. Can you be more specific about what to look for? This is my second flatscreen with this problem...last one lasted 8 months.
