I have a Belkin iPod nano Tune Base which suddenly fell apart whilst being pulled out of the car cigarette lighter. I have managed to retrieve all the parts and put it together, however it still doesn't work. The book said it may be the fuse but I can't find anywhere to replace it. How can I fix this? Would this still be under warranty?

You would have to read the warranty on the product to know for sure if it is in fact, still under warranty. They could possibly tell you that because "you" broke it that it isnt a problem with the device itself. If it came apart that easily i'd call and complain. It may not be working because if the insides fell out some wires may not be attached anymore, or a vital peice of the chip inside of it got damaged somehow so i hope you don't talk to a rude person in tech support for it becuase i think that may be your only option.

How do I disassemble the center console in a 2005 Ford Expedition to get to the cigarette lighter that fell into the center console.

All of the plastic simply pulls apart, but be careful to pull straight out. The plastic attaching pieces could be brittle. BTW, the whole interior trim disassembles in this manner.
Take your time.

My cigarette lighter and my radio stop working suddenly when I pull my 120v converter (that fell to pieces) out of my lighter, what happened?

These two devices both use the same fuse. Look under the steering wheel to the left and you'll find a fuse box. Pop the top off of the box and look at it. It has a diagram on it to tell you which one runs the radio/lighter. It's a 20Amp fuse. Pull it out and examine it, it should be burned/broken in the middle, you can see it through the clear yellow plastic. Replace the fuse and your devices should work again.

My cigarette lighter 1996 mercury grand marquis

Your thought that the end of something fell into the lighter fried something is likely true. I can't imagine that the wire could be fried and the fuse is still good. check to see if the fuse you checked was the right one. If it was and it is good, a wire on the back of the receptacle may have come lose. The end that fell into the receptacle, did it get hot or damaged? That could be a clue as to if the receptacle was shorted when the end fell into it or if not, then look for a lose connection.

A penny fell in my car cigarette lighter and sparks when I try to get it out. How do I remove it?

Find the fuse that supplies power to the lighter socket and remove it (It may already be blown). Once that is done you can safely remove it with a thin screwdriver or tweezers.
