Our kids bathroom shower will not get warm. It is a single dial shower. My master bath shower and all other faucets in the house can give scalding hot water. I took the knob off to see if there was some kind of safety. With the knob off, I was able to spin the shaft a full 360 degrees and could never find a spot where the water got more than lukewarm. Also, it seems as though its gotten worse since we moved in (6 months). Any help is appreciated.
SOURCE: SHOWER HOT WATER SCALDING
hi as you are probably aware ,when the toilet is flushed the water pressure to the shower is reduced so you get hot/scalding water unfortunatly there is NO easy solution you could put a needle valve in the supply to the toilet and with trial and error by turning the valve down reach a compromise between the time it takes to fill the flushing tank and the shower temp the only real solution is to feed the toilet and shower off independent supplies but in most houses this is impractical if not impossible silk090

Verify the height from the shower valve to the Shower head, the instructions specify the correct distance if it is too short the pressure could be getting up to the shower head.
Perhaps the water pressure it too high at the valve not allowing all the water down the faucet outlet, there are set screws on the sides of the shower valve to adjust the water allowed in the mixing chamber.
Something is restricting the water flow to the faucet, creating enough pressure to send some of the ater supply up to the shower.
I hope some of these ideas help

you can try taking it apart, starting with the handle, then the cover, im sure it can be fixed.

Try draining the system and apply air pressure (min 30psi) to each faucet. Open other hot water faucets to allow pressure to vent. Next try draining and cleaning the hot water tank.

There are no indications as to what brand of faucet this is and the sink in the same bathroom also get hot.
