SOURCE: The washer is saying F20

Check to be sure that the drain hose curves up higher than the washer tub. If that does not help, check to sure the unit is level...next turn the washer off, unplug the washer for a few minutes , then replug it into the wall outlet.Be sure that you are standing in a dry area and that your hands are dry. This may reset the operating system. If it has water in in after this, try the drain and spin cycle, and then try a regular quick cycle to see if it works.

How do i fix e5 on the dishwasher

Three common causes.
  1. Defective solenoid water inlet valve
  2. Plugged water inlet filter
  3. Defective stop valve located where the inlet hose connects to the water line.
Problem 1 usually no water will enter. It usually works or not.
Problem 2 and 3 the situation is the tub begins not to fill and over time the filter closes completely or the stop valve plugs completely.

If you open the door after the fill cycle and you have not heard the unit fill it is most likely the fill solenoid. Partially filled need to look at the stop valve. The rubber washer of the valve deteriorates and loosens relocating over the hole plugging the water from going through. When you try to shut off the valve it in most cases will not close water tight. You can replace the stem and washer if you can find the same hardware type.

The solenoid replacement can usually be axcessed from the front but requires a skilled technican.

My washer no longer produces cold water, only hot, except for the start of the cycle. The machine will tell me that it's not getting cold water. It doesn't matter whether I set the water temperature at...

It sounds like the fill hoses are inverted. Most of the Fisher washers only fill with cold water after the initial fill. So if the hose are inverted then it will only fill with hot. Beyond this I'm at a loss. Good luck

Relocation of hotpoint aquarius 1000 washing machine

You don't need hot and cold connected to your machine you can use just cold, but you DO need a supply of some kind to both valves, or your machine will stop when it comes to the rinse cycle and it won't distribute fabric conditioner. Ask for a cold fill adaptor from any plumbers merchants. It looks like a plastic Y the single stem connects onto your cold supply tap and the two hoses from the machine connect onto the top of the Y. The machine will take longer to do a wash but it will work perfectly.

When not in use, my washer begins to slowly fill with water.

you either have a very poor water pressure to the machine or the fill valve is not closing completely and will need to be replaced.

Water fill

if there are 2 hose connections then it is hot and cold fill. if only one hose connection, then connect to cold only.
if two hose connections, then connect at ramdom. put on rinse cycle. if hot water comes in, then connections are the wrong way round and just reverse them
