Nokia 6300 Memory Store Not Ready Then White Screen Appears

Nokia 6300. Turns on okay. But the message memory store says not ready if trying to access messages It then goes to white screen. The same happens if someone tries to ring the phone. The caller gets a "beep" and my phone screen flashes white for a few seconds then goes back to normal. I have tried switching it on and off, battery out and left etc. Sometimes it works, others it don't.

SOURCE: Can't access anything on Nokia 6300. It locked up and gives message of: (Message storage memory not ready) No Nokia place around to take it to. Please help!

The phone's memory is full, which causes the error message and lock ups. This error prevents you from freeing up memory by deleting messages.

Try the following (taken from the Nokia support forum): http://discussions.nokia.co.uk/discussions/board/message?board.id=hardware&thread.id=7775

1. Delete unused names/numbers from the address book to free up memory. (Perhaps write down the ones you want to keep for later re-entry)
2. Once a critical threshold is reached the msg inbox indicator will blink on
3. Enter inbox and DELETE as many messages as you can before phone freezes up again
4. If phone freezes or you get the error message again, restart and keep deleting from the phone book until it allows you hassle-free msg inbox access as per normal (but don't forget to continue deleting thos messages).

Hi Jess, your phone lost some phone software data from the memory.
Don't worry just visit NOKIA service center and give them for updating new phone software. It will work with lot new features.
Thanks.

PROTECTION CODE FOR NOKIA 6300

okay fernando here is how to do it okay
but when u fininsh rate my post dont forget all poeple forget!!

If you set up your own access code, you can recover the code by connecting to computer or using a file manager. You can download Fileman here.
After installing file manager
check the folder C:\System\mmcstore . Rename file mmcstore.txt and send it to another mobile or to your PC via bluetooth or USB, open it and there you will find the password.

Here is also a reset procedure that works on some Nokia, I do not know if it is good for 6300.
Beware, by using reset below you will delete all data stored in phone memory, even phone numbers if they are stored in phone memory:
Take the SIM card out.
Make sure your phone battery is fully charged.
Press * 3 send at the same time and turn the phone on.
Keep this two buttons pressed until the reset screen appears.

Wait some time to reset.
Switch phone back on.

rating dont forget give me the blue rate!!

Nokia 6300 won't recognise Memory Card

If your memory card is not working properly, back up any data from your device's memory card to your PC, then format the memory card using your Nokia device. Please refer to your device's user guide for information on formatting the memory card.
If you get an error message during the formatting process, or an error message after formatting stating that your device cannot read the memory card volume, please take the memory card to your nearest Nokia service point.
Warning: Formatting your memory card will permanently erase all data stored on the memory card. Please back up all data stored on your memory card before formatting.
Important: The memory card inside your Nokia device should ONLY be formatted using your Nokia device. Do not attempt to format your memory card on another device such as a PC, otherwise your memory card may not work properly.

Happy to help
Have a nice day!

Nokia 5300 xpress music

As I have posted separately there are various problems with this phone, the 5310 is not much better. Stick with it till you can afford a new one and then avoid Nokia. I've been a big fan of Nokia for years, but 2 crap phones later and I'm pretty p'd off!
