Error message and red exclamation indication

Printer powers up ok but only shows error message in window calling for service if necessary.

    I too just got this message today! No paper jams, ink cartridges new. Unplugged printer from power to initialize, doesn't even do that. It immediately displays the Error message with red exclamation point. Looked all through internet for help, to no avail. Anyone have any clue?

Finally figured out the problem.
1. Took waste pad out and cleaned with paper towel. Couldn't find a replacement waste pad, so needed to clean it instead.
2. Downloaded SSC Service Utility software (free) in order to "Reset the Protection Counter". This is an option within the utility.

Printer must be on when running the SSC utility.

Get error message "Printer error: see your documentation and call service if necessary."

I found this on another website and it worked for me. It apparently resets the printer. Hope it works for you:

1.) power on (error message)
2.) press the "Stop (triangle)" and the "Colour copy" button and hold them
3.) press the power button to power off, still hold 2.)
4.) press the power button to power on, still holding 2.)
5.) the LEDs start to flash, then they stop to flash and the red exclamation mark starts to flash. Now release 2.)

6.) the LED should say: "Init EEprom"
7.) now press and hold the power button until the printer powers off and powers on again.

Error code: 0xc18a0001

Hello,

This error code indicates that you have an 'Ink system failure'. The problem is caused by air the ink feed tubes. If you either use all of the ink down to 0% or you use poorly refilled ink cartridges it can cause the printer to **** air into the feed tubes instead of ink. We have a step by step guide to purge the feed tubes of air on our site at: http://www.ccl-la.com/blog/index.php/category/printer-repair/ There are 2 different versions of the procedure find the one for your type printer and follow the guide and within about 10 minutes you will be printing again.

Red ! mark. LCD panel says: Error...Printer

The waste ink tank is full.Read this instruction.
If this not help there is a manual reset for this printers but I'm not tried yet.
  • Press and hold B/W+COLOR+STOP button.
  • Press power button, don’t release all button until you see the led indicator blinking and a message display on the LCD.
  • Release the button.
  • Press COLOR button to clear protection counter
  • Turn off the printer by pressing power button.
  • DONE!

It reads Printer Error - see your documentation

this means your printer waste pads are full and the printer needs to be reset for it to work again or it can just be reset

When turning the power on to my Epson CX6400, the following error message comes up: "Error: Printer Error -> SEE YOUR DOCUMENTATION AND CALL SERVICE IF NECESSARY." The little "!" exclamation point...

Sounds like the ink counters need resetting (it happens with other printers as well)

Error inkcartridge

Error message: No color or black ink cartridge-->Press the Color Copy button to install a new ink cartridge.
Solution: The indicated ink cartridge is not installed. Please install the necessary cartridge(s).

Error message: Color or black ink out -- >Press the Color Copy button to begin replacing the ink cartridge.
Solution: The indicated ink cartridge is out of ink. You will need to replace the necessary ink cartridge(s).

Solution: There is something wrong with the ink cartridge. Make sure the cartridge is genuine Epson ink. Also, try reseating the cartridge (remove it, and then reinstall it).

Error Message: Paper jam or misfeed -- > Press the Color Copy button and clear the paper jam by hand if necessary.
Solution: Paper is jammed. Check for any obstructions under the unit's cover, and in the paper tray.

Error Message: Paper out -- > Load paper in the sheet feeder and press the Color Copy button.
Solution: Load paper in the sheet feeder, and then press the Color Copy button to continue printing.

Error Message: Scanner unit open -- > close the scanner unit

Help Epson CX3200

Hi,

I just like to ask to where specifically you can see the red light. It will help us determine what cause the red light. To give you heads up as well, the Printer's LCD screen can help us determine what exactly the offline condition of the CX3200 is:
