MP3 Locked... When I attempted to turn on my MP3 player, I receive a picture of a Lock. How do I unlock my MP3 player, so I can play my music?

After much frustration, I've figured it out something that works.
Turn the mp3 player off, remove the battery cover, take out the batteries, put them back in, screw the battery cover back on, turn the mp3 player on, press the green play button. You should then see the "welcome" screen.
The boombox has continued to lock up frequently - almost everytime my son plays with the stinkin' thing - but at least I know how to unlock it now.

Assuming the lock key on the back of the player is in the unlocked position, it sounds like there is a corrupt firmware file. This should just need a firmware reinstall.

Follow the on-screen instructions to perform the install.
Be sure to back up any important media before performing this install.

If your computer does not recognize it, press and hold the play button while connecting the device for upwards of 30 seconds.

hi shreejit here try to reformat the mp3 player so the code will be unlocked and u can use your mp3 player in a normal state

I went back to my Napster account and downloaded the music to a cd. I then downloaded the cd to my Samsung Media player and deleted the locked music. Now everything plays. I also discovered that some of my own CDs had locked when I transferred the music to my new computer so I just reloaded them on my computer and deleted the locked cds.

sounds like its locked mine did that once i dont have the fuze i have the view but i held the off switch AFTER i unlocked the device over and over for as long as i could.....it eventually turned off or let it die then recharge it and attempt to turn it on again but i think you have it locked

i tunes transfer files in aac format. Samsung only play mp3 and wma.

you can use samsung music studio in transferring files or converting files. you can simply drag and drop files to your mp3 just open it in the explorer.

you have a technic problem

When you try to play it the screen should say locked. Push the bottom button that says hold and the screen should say unlocked. Hope that helps. I just bought the same MP3 player and am liking it so far.

there should be a hold button on top of the mp3 player...

turn that to OFF, that should solve your problem...

To turn the mp3 on press the play button and wait a couple seconds...
