I sent my circuit board to Lee Kreuzer (see his note below) and he repaired it and mailed it back quickly, only cost $45. He will tell u how to remove the circuit board, quite easily done.

Any electric heat thats not a heat pump, is 100% efficient converting 1 Watt into BTU's or 1 Watt = 3.145 BTu's.
Only a heat pump can offer you more heat per watt.Consequently any inexpensive heater will replace that unit! and for far less than the labor to even diagnose that thing, let alone parts avaiability! I would not repair it or try unles as a DIY job for kicks.

SOURCE: My comfort zone infrared hearter

Hi. I have the Comfort zone 1500 (cz 1500) and just ran into this AO5 problem. Turns out the thermostat was set lower than the actual room temperature. I just turned up the heater temp and it kicked right on. Hope this helps!

Unless you want a new house, stop using that heater immediately. There are severe internal electric problems with your heater. Since it's already 3 years old, I'm not sure it's worth trying to repair. With what you described, I'm surprised it didn't trip one of you circuit breakers.

Be safe, Don't continue to try to use this heater.

Where can i order a new board for my comfort zone cz1500 the board is bad showing aos code.

It's probably some swolen electrolytic capacitors that need replacing. If you know of an electronic shop close by or buddy that can solder maybe you can remove the pcb and take it to them. Radio Shack may stock the caps.

if the relays are clicking there are 2 1000uf capacitors on the main board that will be bad. If you know how to work on electronics you can unsolder and then replace them problem solved I just fixed my dads heater today cost about 2.00 bucks :). The capacitors have to be 1000uf 105c google them.
