Well if your phone stills works (making and reciving calls) use it till you get a new one. i dropped mine in the toilete and and work but the screen didnt work. if you have insurance call them.

Hi, when a key on a samsung phone doesn't work,it's caused by the flex of the phone. The flex is located inside the phone attached to the screen and allows the screen to display, control the keypad and the ringer that make the phone rings.
You will need to replace the flex for the phone to work normal again.
Sounds like the LCD is missing a signal getting to it. One of the signal lines is either damaged, possibly still has a small amount of liquid on it and is getting a bunch of resistance it shouldn't be.
Open the phone up, and let it sit and dry fully for a few days.
You could always try dropping it back into the rye & coke, it seemed to prefer that to water =0)
