Janome memory craft 8000

The visual screen is difficult to see. I tried adjusting the screen contrast, but it is still difficult to see. Is there an easy solution? Janome memory craft 8000High, I need spare parts for my machine eg Lcd back light and ordinary
sewing light.All suppliers just say sorry OBSOLETE. I no they have stopped making them but somebody somewhere on this planet may know how I can get parts. I am prepared to buy from anywhere world wide.Thanks.

I can't get the touch screen to change from straight stitch the Ordinary sewing light is lite and utilt 1-28 light is on but, nothing will change when I touch screen. Any ideas??

The screen is going bad and needs to be replaced. Unfortunately, it is obsolete.It is my understanding that a Janome Dealer can take your screen and send it to Janome to be rebuilt. It will take about a month. Be prepared to spend more than $200. The sewing light is the same one that is used in many Janome machines I.e. MC9000 and should be available from almost any competent sewing repair shop.

Screen dull on Janome mc 8000

There is an LCD Backlight Panel that illuminates the screen, and yes, they do fail.
Before you start, just check the screen contrast dial inside the top cover, front right, they can be easily knocked and this will also cause the screen to go light or dark.
Janome no longer supplies the LCD Backlight, however, we have an after market replacement at our store, and also provide fitting instructions and a good deal more besides.
If you care to contact me I can send a Diagnostic Routine and the Screen Reset instructions for you to check if there is anything else causing troubles.

I want to sell my 1991 New Home memory Craft 8000 sewing machine

A good place to see what machines are selling for is Ebay. That's where I sold a sewing machine and an embroidery machine.

It helps to know your product and machine embroidery lingo.

What are cassettes? Floppy disks? These make the machine borderline obsolete.

Memory cards are still around, but most EM now have USB connectivity or USB flash drives.

Satin thread? Embroidery machines use Rayon or Polyester embroidery thread.

Having had the machine recently serviced is also a plus.

Need touchscreen backlight for merory craft 8000 janome new home

When your Memory Craft 8000 or MC 5700 is otherwise working fine but the LCD display screen begins to grow darker and you find you just can't read it, the only thing you can do is replace the LCD screen, or buy a new machine.
Janome no longer stock this item direct, but there is an affordable replacement available.

Full Access and Installation instructions are provided, so you can DIY or have someone else do the replacement for you.
