There is no way to extend the range on these as they are not GAP compatible so will not work with repeaters. However the you may want to look into the Plantronics C65 as this is GAP compatible and you actually pair it up to a GAP comapatible cordless phone which should allow it to be used with repeaters. I have successfuly hooked one up to a Kirk system some years ago and also with a Siemens C450 which worked fine. Most cordless devices generally will not cover 200m unless you go to industrial high power cordless phones like the Engenius.

How can i pair a Plantronic cs60 with a playstation 3? Can you discripe it in steps?

The CS series of Plantronics headsets can only be used with telephones, using telephone cords. I do not believe it is possible to use this item on any video game system or non-landline telephone.

Plantronics cs60 cordless headset not working properly with Mitel 5220 ip phone. Cant switch between handset and headset. When you lift the handset sound comes from the headset. The same headset works fine...

I'm sorry for being long on my answer here...
The bad thing here is that the CS60 is not a Mitel approved/supported headset. The only headsets that are approved for Mitel Superset or Mitel IP telephones are the Plantronics Polaris model.

BUT many other headsets do work with Mitel telephones. Since they are not "supported" by Mitel, you should contact the headset manufacturer for configuration guidance. Some have dip switches, or dials that need to be in certain positions to work with certain telephone models. This can be different from one phone to another.

Plantronics web site and their support people should be able to guide you to configuring this headset properly for each model phone.

How is the headset and handset connected? It sounds like the CS60 is connected to the handset port of the phone and the handset is connected to the CS60. When you go off hook with the handset, it sends the signal to the CS60 and depending on the switch on the CS60, it will send the signal to either the handset or the headset.

OR

The CS60 is connected to the handset port and the handset is connected to the headset port. To make the headset port work, you must have the CS60 connected to the headset port and the handset connected to the handset port. Set the phone to Headset mode.

I have a Liftmaster/Chamberlin Formula 1 garage door opener made in 2006. It worked fine for 3 years, but the past year something has been interferring with the signals. I have had a company come out and...

There is always the possibility that the receiver has quit working but here is some things you can look at. This article refers to limited range but it is the same for a blocked signal.

Limited range of your remote controls could be related to radio frequency interference that comes from something in your home or in the surrounding environment. Certain electrical devices can radiate interference; this could be almost anything that is plugged into an electrical outlet.

Please keep in mind that the device can be brand new, or can be an item that has been in use for quite a while. Also, the item may continue to function properly as far as you are able to tell. The only problem with the item may be that it has started to broadcast the interference, with no other symptoms noted.

Some devices are more likely to generate interference than others. This includes TV cable, cable amplifiers, surge protectors, fluorescent lights, battery charging devices (power tools, golf carts, etc.), anything that utilizes a timer (sprinkler systems, lights, alarm systems, etc.), and a myriad of others. If the problem seems sporadic, we can safely assume that the device responsible for the interference is only being operated during these times. Again, please keep in mind that the age of the device does not determine if it is capable of broadcasting unwanted interference. Any electrical device can be the source of the problem.

The first step is replacing the battery in your remote. If the range on your remote does not improve, remove the wall control wires from the overhead unit. If the range does not improve you will likely need to replace the remote control. After replacing the remote, or if you have other remotes programmed in to the opener, and the range problem still exists, please proceed to the Power Down test.

Multiple garage doors:
If you have two garage door units and one is working just fine, you will need to start by unplugging the good unit. This will help determine if the unit with no range starts to function properly. If the range comes back to the bad unit then you will need to replace the logic board on the unit that was unplugged as it is emitting an RF signal that is over powering the other garage door opener. If the range does not improve after the “good” unit has been unplugged, replace the batteries and try programming some additional remotes to determine if the existing remotes are the issue. If the extra remotes do not have any range then you would need to replace the receiver logic board in the “bad” unit.

Power Down test:
To isolate potential sources of interference, turn the circuit breaker off to the garage and plug the garage door opener into an extension cord from another room. If the range improves, then the interference is coming from a device in the garage. If no improvement is seen follow the same procedure, this time turning off the circuit breakers to your home, with the exception of the garage and test the remote controls. If improvement is noted, turn the circuit breakers back on, one by one, until the range problem resurfaces. This will allow you to narrow down what room the problem device is in. You will have to go from there to isolate it further, by unplugging and re-plugging the items in that room.

If you are unable to determine any source of interference, then the receiver logic board in the overhead unit will need to be replaced.

Is it compatible with an IPCC nortel network phone?

I am personally using a Plantronics CS60 wireless headset with a Meridian Nortel M2006 Phone and it works just fine.

Here is how you can setup the Plantronics CS60 wireless headset.

NOTE: Before setting up the system make sure the IntelliStand switch (on the right side of the charging base) is in the "_" position and NOT the "=" position.

The headset and the base unit are supplied subscribed to each other. However, if you wish to use a replacement headset with the base unit (or if you lose your connection to the base unit), then you must re-subscribe as follows:

1. Return the headset to the charging base.

2. Press and hold both the + and - buttons on the back of the charging base until the red light on the front of the base starts to flash.

3. Let go of both buttons. The red light should continue to flash.

4. Press the mute switch (black wheel on the top of the headset) straight down until a green light appears on the headset, then let go of the wheel, and the light should remain on the headset.

5. Resubscription is finished when the red light on the base is fully illuminated and the green light on the headset disappears.

6. Remove the headset from the charging base lift telephone handset/press headset button if not using a handset lifter. The headset and base should now be connected.

I have a CS60 Handset doesnt work when the headset is connected

First setup the headset as follows:

  • Locate the 2 ports on the bottom of the CS60 charging base. One has an icon of a "full telephone" and the other has an icon of a "hand receiver."
  • Unplug the hand receiver from the base of your existing telephone and plug it into the "hand receiver" port on the CS60 base unit.
  • Then take the short cable that came with the CS60 and plug it into the "full telephone" port on the base of the CS60.
  • Plug the other end of the short cord into the hand receiver port of your telephone (where the hand receiver just was).
  • Make sure the AC Power is plugged into the wall, and then you can adjust the configuration settings.
To be able to hear or speak through the handset, either place the headset back into its charging cradle or press the call control button on the side of the headset. The talk indicator light on the base should go off and no sound will come through the headset.

Note: Make sure that the cables are connected correctly and the handset cable is connected to the base of the CS60 base.
