Just bought a Hitachi DMP200N 2GB and it skips the end of all tracks
My brand new DMP200N refuses to play the end of every track, just skips to the next track before the current one has finished, it is very annoying.
Also will not play an album, just plays tracks from each folder in turn, then starts again on second track in each folder, the instructions are so minimal, does not help with the play options, and none of the options seem to play an album from start to end.
Also there are no instructions on how to set up the album info, which may help with the playing albums problem.
I have my albums in separate folders as wma files copied from pc.
Copy the album onto the internal media folder and then drag it again into the music folder. This means you are copying from an area on the player to another area. This will keep the track listing that you originally have for the album and means no change is needed to mp3 tags.

Could be some dust or debris in the unit. Also be careful that you are not putting fingermarks near the hole section of each CD you put in, as the CD plays from the centre out.
Many WMA's are DRM-protected - the DRM-protected tracks that you have loaded may not have transfer rights, even though they will play fine on a computer. The best bet is to download only songs that are in mp3 format. Another option, which is illegal, is to buy a DRM-stripper and strip your WMA's of the DRM-protection - but, it is illegal, costly, and time-consuming.
hello i just have 3 questions pls answer i have an Hitachi mp3 player model : DMP200N 2gb and i format it but now it doesent work i think i erased his driver could u please tell me what to do now?? plz waiting
Sounds like the track that carries the laser lense might be dirty/worn out. Maybe the reason it won't play past track six is because its not able to read that far on the disc. Have you tried skipping to other tracks at all?
You might need to have it professionally cleaned / diagnosed. The problem might not be a dirty reader, but a misaligned tray. Many trays, over time, become misaligned. Some more than others. Depends on your use and abuse of the unit. The issues generally happen towards the end of the tracks.
Make a note of skipping tracks & check these tracks play ok on the PC - this will rule out corrupted tracks.
Skipping of entire tracks can be due to DRM copy protected tracks (purchased on-line). Some players will not play DRM tracks.
You can check for protected tracks.
In Windows Explorer, go to the folder where the tracks are stored on your PC.
Click on View -----> Details
Right click on the header bar in the right hand window and select protected. (If protected is not listed click on More)
Tracks will be listed with No or Yes under protected. Check your skipping tracks are listed as No, under protected.
If none of this helps, install and run the Philips Device Manager. Select the repair / restore option and follow the on-screen prompts. This will format the player, ruling out a corrupt file system on the player, and re-load the firmware.
