My new Sony projector only projects in black and white - or sepia tones. Have tried every setting from Picture, Input and Set menus.
I have connected it via S-Video - could this be the problem?

You might have to change the input or start playing blu-ray disc and then change input via the remote to your projector. Make sure it's HDMI out on blu-ray if choice is given and HDMI in on projector.
Your bulb is going out. replace the bulb and you should be fine. Just remember to set back to defualt settings before your change the bulb out and make sure your give the bulb time to pre-heat before you turn the project all the way on.
May be you have couple of weeks time to replace lamp in projector and don't forget to reset lamp timer hours as procedure would be mentioned in user manual.
Hi there! I'm assuming you're able to enter the password so that the unit comes up...Go into the menu selection called "Initial Settings". Choose the option called "Security Lock" and pick the "off" menu item. Exit out of the menu and power down the projector. Re-start the projector and it should have no password activation. According to the manual, you need access to the RESET button, the left and right arrows and the ENTER button to clear the counter. Press the following in order for less than 5 seconds each:
Thank you for your help I visited a Sony retail outlet yesterday and they explained that to obtain sound you have to go through a sound system using the red connection because they is no sound / speakers build into the projector.
