Truck has 296000 miles i have just replaced the fuel pump it ran for a week and a half now it wont start
have checked all electric at tank .relay ok .and what is the easyest way to get to the fuel tank
SOUNDS LIKE A CLOGGED FUEL FILTER. MAY HAVE INLINE FILTER, OR ITS IN TANK. TANK MAY NEED TO BE CLEANED IF IT IS THE FILTER, RUST BUILD UP FROM WATER IN GAS WILL RUST INSIDE OF TANK AS IT SEPERATES FROM GAS AND SITS AT THE BOTTOM.

My truck did this after I replaced the fuel pump. Turned out to Fuel Pressure Regulator. It would crank and crank but never start. It's located underneath the black plastic manifold on the side of the injectors.
IVE HAD PLENTY OF THESE GO OUT EVEN A MONTH LATER. AS FAR AS THE STARTING FLUID JUST TRY AND CYCLE KEY BUT KEEP IT FROM TURNING STATER OVER. TURN ON AND OFF ABOUT 3 TO 5 TIMES IT SHOULD BUILD ENOUGH PRESSURE TO START. TO START MINIMUN PRESS IS 55PSI.
My 85 silverado was doing the same thing last week. After a few days of that B.S. I ended up replacing the fuel pump and filter and she's been running great since,
