Cannot connect ds to wireless router - Huawei Echolife 520s

My wireless modem is a Huawei Echolife HG520s and i am unable to connect my ds to this help!!!

    Same issue. When you say set to B do you mean the 802.11b/g setting? as i have B+G selected. Can't find anything else this could be linked to. Also a DS can connect fine but DS lite cannot

    Hi I cant connect DS lite to my echo life. I was told this is because Ds uses WEP and router uses WPA. How do I change the encryption on the router. Many Thanks

    Not wireless and dont have laptop just ipad but internet working on router

Ensure that the B type is enabled in your router and that the security it set to WEP and that your passcode is correct.

    how do i go about accessing my router from my computer so that i can change these settings? i'm on windows 7 and have a Huawei HG523 Or 533 router

    Usually you access it via Internet Explorer with the addresshttp://192.168.1.1 You will also need the username and password by defaults it's admin / admin. Once into the admin you'll need to ensure you set your security to WEP and set a passcode.

does this router have a lan1 lan2 lan3 lan4 ports ?
the adsl port may be for a phone line so you may need to turn off the ADSL functions in the Huawei Echolife HG520s router . Turn off the DHCP server and then plug connect lan1 to your office network. Change the ip address to be unique in your office network ip network range.
maybe 192.168.0.2 if office router is 192.168.0.1 subnet mask made the same .

My router needs to be rebooted everytime I turn off my computer. its a EchoLife HG 520s
1. change the channel select to 1 , 11 or 6 to see if this will help. Wireless will drop a signal if you are adjacent to a cordless phone or microwave. They are usually on the same radio frequency or channel.
2. this done by going into the router configuration screen.

Make sure you LAN settings is looking at your Wireless Adapter for WAN source, your computer might be looking up to the Wired Adapter for source, with not much info that's all i can suggest.
Create a new connections and make sure Wireless Adapter is selected.
