Hello, Not sure what the media type is but I will assume you mean a tape drive as you are able to switch between write protect and writable. At the boot of the tape cartridge you should find a button that moves from side to side. You should be able to see "write" on side and when you move the switch you should see "Protect". If this is not the media form you are usings, repost with what type of media you are using. Good Luck.

Can you help with in-depth technical troubleshooting as the service manual does not go into detail.

Doubt that it is either of the STK's. If they are bad, then you would get a DC protect error and the unit would shut off. Most likely problem is either your digital board is bad or the volume control IC on the bottom of the main board.

Got the error 4200 while trying to burn a cd from itunes and i dont know how to fix it

The materials requring burning maybe copyrite protected. Second, the cd burner would be malfucntioning by connections to the computer. third, the cd disk may not be empty to allow additional media records producing error messages. Hault the entire burnign process, disconnect all devices, reconnnect, and then power back on to allow computer to perform diagnoses of what is missing or malfunct.

Error - Kernel32.dll

Microsoft defines Kernel32 errors as follows: "The Kernel32.dll file is a 32-bit dynamic link library file that is found in Windows 95, Windows 98, or Windows Millenium Edition (Me). The Kernel32.dll file handles memory management, input/output operations, and interrupts. When you start Windows, Kernel32.dll is loaded into a protected memory space so that other programs do not take over that memory space. On occasion, you may receive an invalid page fault (IPF) error message. This error message occurs when a program tries to access the Kernel32.dll protected memory space. Occasionally, the error message is caused by one particular program, and other times the error message is provoked by multiple files and programs."
