Long press power & home button simultaneously for 30 seconds (continue pressing no matter what).
then turn it on again if will open the springboard.

Otherwise,you need to update it on i-tunes.but it's not just as easy as it takes.

Here are the steps :

If you remember your iphone firmware which is located at settings > general > about.

* download your preffered firmwares here : IPHONE FIRMWARES
* after you finished download,open your itunes and connect your iphone using your usb cable.
* after the phone is detected,press shift then restore.it will ask for the firmware,enter the file which you download.
* wait till the process is done.

after your phone has been recover,please make a reply on this thread to see the status and info of your phone for Jailbreak and Unlocking you iphone.

If its a factory unlock phone.there will be no problem at all.

Try pressing and holding both the POWER & the HOME button at the same time for around 3 to 10 seconds until it turns OFF. Then turn it back on again.
