Problem with power red light bkinking th50px80u

A blinking red light on the power button of a Hisense 55 inch model 50R6E3 TV could indicate a problem with the TV's power supply. It could be caused by a malfunctioning component, such as a blown fuse or failed capacitor, or it could be an indication that the TV is overheating. The Vieras have standby codes that are not published because few Plasma TVs are serviceable by owners. Power surges will cause the blinking sometimes and the only remedy to the owner is to unplug the TV for a few minutes to let the power supply reset and plug it back in to see if you still get the shutdown mode blinks. If you do, the only remedy is to contact Panasonic at 1-877-95VIERA (USA) or 1-866-330-0014(Canada)

Power supply board have dead capacitors.U know how to solders?Buy these capacitors to replaced them to have power back.Or u can buy a whole power supply board for the replacement at these websites Shopjimmy.com,Ebay.com for refurbish power suppply board.

It is the capacitors on the power supply...They blew on ours...took it in a they replaced 7 for less than 100.00. Common problem with this tv because it gets hot. Hope that helps.

did u cheak the input cables does it do it on dvd input as well as others ?
