Worked fine until this week. I use it occasionally, so its not a problem of overuse. It worked fine just this past month. Then I went to use it and there is no power to the unit, at all! I checked the plug, its fine, every other appliance or tool I've attached to it works. Is there a fuse in the system, I have no operating manual, never had one. I bought it new a couple of years ago, now, no power?
SOURCE: Power Glide Circular Saw with Laser Guard Spring Broken
The spring hooks onto the blade guard and wraps around the hub of the blade guard. It is orta hard to see but it will hook onto the guard.
SOURCE: No owners manual. Can't operate
There is no such stepp to operate a circular saw.The only not ready to operate it is the setings of the angle, thickness, width and Guides for cutting.,and none with the electrical system.Becoz when you plug in & switch it will automatically turn the blades absolutely..
GET RID TO THE INPUT VOLTAGE! be careful .are you here in philippines?if that so,we have a 220-240 volts supply of power here.Read the voltage input of the unit written on the body of the unit itself. If it is 100 0r 110 volts then DONOT plug-in and switch it.you need a transformer.

don't have a manual so just going by what i've seen and repaired on other units.. have never seen a fuse on most power tools, though many motors may use an imbedded thermal breaker that will break the circuit until the motor interior cools down.. only way to see what's wrong with yours is to take it apart and check continuity using a multitester.. most common problem is that a wire has come loose from its fitment, usually having to do with the trigger switch.. you could take the handle apart to access the switch and see if wiring is secure.. really need to check to see if the switch is the problem using a multitester set to continuity, the setting that sounds a tone when the probes are touched to each other or the two ends of a circuit.. a cheap one will do fine.. unplugged, of course, put one probe on the black line in from the power cord and the other on anything that comes out from the switch to the motor.. with switch off- no tone; with switch on- tone.. if not then the switch is bad...best place to start...
