Pxe-m0f : Exiting intel pxe rom

reboot,tap F2 to enter BIOS and navigate menu to disable network booting.

The PXE ROM is part of your system's network interface controller. It is being entered on your system's startup to look for a bootable image on a physical network connection and if found, to boot from that image. If there is no network cable connection to your system or if there is but no bootable device is found on that connection, the result is the error message that you got. As to why your system is entering the PXE ROM can be explained by looking at your system's Setup Utility,,,

Press F2 while powering up to enter the Setup Utility and use the cursor control keys to go to the Boot tab which then shows the Boot priority order. The default order is as follows...
1. IDE0
2. IDE1
3. USB FDD
4. USB HDD
5. Network Boot : LEGACY PCI DEVICE
6. USB CDROM
Your system's internal hard disk drive should be listed beside IDE0 and it will be accessed first to look for a boot record. If the drive fails to boot, the next devices in the list will be accessed accordingly until either a bootable device is found or the last item which is USB CDROM. If a USB CDROM is plugged in on one of the system's USB ports, it will be checked for a bootable record and if not found or no CDROM is plugged in, then the system displays the last part of the message -- insert boot disk and press any key.

Press F12 while powering up enters the Boot Menu which has the Boot Option Menu. This menu should show by default the following...
1. IDE 0: (the name/type information for your system's internal hard disk drive
2. Network Boot: LEGACY PCI DEVICE

If there is no hard disk drive information shown beside IDE 0, then the possibilities are that
1. there is no internal hard drive present
2. there is a hard drive but it has failed
If there is hard disk drive information and pressing enter to select it does not result in an operating system startup, then the drive's startup partition has been wiped and so it has no bootable image.

If there seems to be an internal hard drive present but it has no bootable image, you may attempt recovery from the installation images in the hidden partition. The recovery allows restoration of...
1. operating system to factory defaults
2. applications (selectable)
3. drivers (selectable)

Press Alt and F10 keys together while powering up and the Acer logo is showing to enter Acer's eRecovery Management. Follow the instructions to do the recovery.

If I understand you well, before Windows loads, you get a notification about the ethernet controler which is waiting for a boot data stream to come from a local server. If you don't use a client-server network setup, you'll need to go to BIOS and change the boot options, so that your hard drive is set as first boot device, then DVD as second boot device, then USB drive as fourth boot device, and lastly LAN as fifth boot device.
What happens is that your PC thinks that the LAN is the primary boot device, and in corporate networks PCs get such a setup so that there's one large server feeding data to the local cubicle PCs. In some cases the server-dependancy is set to such extent that these cubicle units are just "dumb terminals". In your situation, your PC thinks it should also get boot infro from the LAN, but as your PC is not a part of a corporate network it waits in vain, and after a while it should move on to the second/third boot device, and eventually find that it has Windows installed localy and starts loading the OS.
So, to wrap up, you'll need to go to BIOS and set your local hard drive as the primary boot option. This will fix the problem only if your hard drive is OK and you've installed Windows on it.
If your hard drive is failing/gone, then your laptop may not even recognize it and therefore moves on to the next bootable device, which is usually the DVD, and then a USB drive and lastly LAN boot.
Anyway, go to BIOS, and see what is the current setup. If the hard drive is set as first boot option, then this is a good sign that you'll need a new drive.

Hard drive is not detected. Change the Boot sequence in BIOS

1. To access the BIOS you must tap F2 or delete key upon turning the computer on
2. Try to look for the Hard drive if it is detected by BIOS if not got to step 6
3. Look for Boot Sequence or anything that is associated Boot
4. The Order boot of must be 1st: DVD Drive, 2nd: Hard drive, 3rd: Network etc.
5. Save the changes and Restart
6. If you still get the same message I suggest that you take out the hard drive and put it back in until it is detected in BIOS
7. If Step 6 did not work I think you need to replace the Hard drive
