System startup We had a power cut and now the phone only displays 'system startup' how do I chnage it so that it permanantly displays time and date

Using the Capture Menu

1. While in Live View or Playback, press , then use to highlight .
2. Use to highlight a menu option, then press to display the menu option's
sub-menu.

4. Press to exit the Capture Menu.
For on-camera information about an option, use to highlight Help... in the option's
sub-menu, then press .

In the capture menu goto

Date & Time Imprint Imprints date in lower left corner of image.
Off Default No date or time imprinted on the image. (this setting)
Date Only Date permanently imprinted.
Date & Time Date and time permanently imprinted.

Actually it probably is. What happens when you press "*" on an idle phone?

After selecting 1, type in the date mm/dd/yy (it doesn't appear on the screen) then press hold/save. Then type in the time again it won't appear on the screen press hold/save. It will then return to the main screen with the correct time and date. Hope this helps.

All you need to do is to chnage your screen display. So open menu >setttings>screen saver and select to remove the clock and replace with your choice.
Also choose menu>settings> to remove from standy display.

That phone controls putting the system into Night Service. Turn off NS and the time & date will be displayed again.

The display will blink if power is cut either by unplugging or if the control system is power-cycled. The cause of the power glitches needs to be located & corrected. Changing the ring tone/cadence depends on which control unit is being used.
