Ok, I have a Sony MEX BT 2600. To pair my phone to the radio, I had to press and hold the BT button for 5 seconds until it flashes, then I have to search for devices on my phone. Xplod comes up. When it does, pair the two and use code 0000. That should do it. Also make sure the BT icon is showing, meaning it is activated for the Sony to connect. When conncted, the radio should show a phone icon for the BT Phone segment of the radio, and then another icon for the BT Audio, both should what looks like radio waves coming off of them, meaning the two devices are connected and recognizing each other.

How do I pair my sony xplod car radio/cd player to my mobile phone

press and hold the BT (bluetooth) button on the left side of the radio for about 5 seconds. wait for the bluetooth symbol to show up on the screen and start blinking. While its blinking tell your phone to begin searching for devices. your phone will find the xplod deck and ask for an access code (the code is 0000). Once found the bluetooth symbol will stop blinking and stay solid and a picture of a phone will show up on the stereo screen.

Bluetooth connection not working. Tried with a couple of phones to find the player with no success.

Hi,

Make sure that the mobile phone which you're trying to use is paired with the Car Audio System.
Check if the Blue-tooth icon at the front panel display is lit.
If the pairing is completed, try connecting the device to the head unit. Press and hold the BT button for 3 seconds to connect the mobile phone unit to the Car Audio system.
If the unit is not getting connected, then try to RESET the unit by pressing the Reset button located inside the front panel using a sharp pointed object. Once the unit is reset, try pairing the unit again and then connecting the devices.
You may also check the compatible Bluetooth devices with the Car Audio System.

Thanks for using FixYa.

Unable to play music files from mobile, saying no audio device connected, whereas i can receive the call from the system. Thanks, ..Amit

Your stereo have the bluetooth connection to be used only for the headset profile (IE to making and receiving calls). To read the music from the phone you need to connect it using a USB cable and put the phone on "Memory card" or "Mass storage" USB mode.
If that doesn't work is because some phones simply can't be read with devices other than computers because they use windows drivers to enable the data access.

most of the default codes are 1234, 0000, 1111 unless changed by the user. if this doesn't work, you can always do a hard rest of your radio by pressing the small pin hole button on the face of the radio.
