My tv screen went black, can't seem to reset it.

It sounds like the television isn't turned on! Use the button that is hiding on the outside of the television. They are either on the bottom front under edge, or on the left of right, rear angled quarters.

Batteries should always be changed as new pairs. Always keep a pack of 4 x AA and 4 x AAA. I keep packs of 10, and also C size, D size and MN1500 9 volt. I used to be a Boy Scout, and the motto is "Be Prepared". :>)

Google

make model manual

You can also try a power reset, pull the wall plug for 10 minutes.

Just for info, all questions should have 'make model (what it is)' as the first 3 words.

I pushed the dish button an the screen went black

Hello leslie_poo_1. My name is Michael Hurst with DISH Network. I see that when you press select you get a black screen. Try to perform a hard reset by unplugging the receiver from power outlet for 10 seconds then plug it back in. If you still have a black screen press the menu button on your remote. Press Menu, 6, 1, 1, select check switch and then test. Once the test is done exit out of all the menu screens.
