Olevia yesterday, there was a power outage in my condo building.  Since, my display will not display.  It is hooked up through my stereo so I hear the tv (direct tv), can change channels and hear everything through the stero but the monitor will not turn on. The little red light comes on indicating power is going to the until, but nothing else.  I have checked all connections, reset power, turned off and unplugged in back of monitor etc to no avail...it's only 2 years old...is there anyway to see if it is toast or am I missing something?  Thanks so much for your help.  Colette  305-807-8539

You should check to see if the sound is really coming from the TV- you may have the sound from the directTV cable box composite audio red and white RCA connectors.

Try connecting from the audio out of the TV to the stereo

Try the menu and see if you can adjust vertical and horizontal hold.

unplug tv for 10 minutes - tehn try again.

change battery in remote, if the remote does not seem to work

good luck

Seas garage door opener model 139.53928d will not close. Light flashes and door moves a few inches. We had a long power outage yesterday

You need to check your SAFETY beam
the two little black boxes on both sides of your garage door
(typically about ONE foot above the floor level...
should be showing a green & a red light when pointed
DIRECTLY at each-other )).

Red = unbroken beam.
Green = Power on.

You can HOLD down the WIRED button
to override this SAFETY feature....

Do check your owners manual.

it is possible you OUTAGE fried your electronics
but the most common cause is these BOXES are't
properly aligned.

Hooking up my ps3 using HDMI cord to my olevia 232-S13 and it says invalid format

Setting up your HDMI cable on your PS3 games console

1: Turn on your TV and set its input to HDMI.

2: Make sure your PS3 is connected via a HDMI cable.

3: Power on your PS3 and press and hold the power button for approx. 5 seconds, you will hear the PS3 start to beep, release the power button after the second beep.

4: Your PS3 should automatically configure itself for HDMI video and Audio output.

Olevia LT20s

Check power outlet. Connect TV to a different power outlet. Switch off TV manually, switch off power input, remove plug and cool it off for 48 hours and retry. If problem persists, it might need attention by a qualified service technician.

I have a Sansui G-4700 Pure Power DC Stereo Receiver. We were happy with it for many years. Five years ago, we moved from a house to a condo, and it has been in storage since the move. I am thinking of...

Of course it will work with any standard stereo RCA source (which just about everything STILL has) but it won't work directly with any digital sources. It has NO digital interfaces.

The power went off in my building. When it came

You didn't include your model number so an exact description of the menu system isn't possible. Look the menu offerings over and for the term 'Source' or 'Input.' I suspect the power outage may have returned the set to factory defaults and that could be anything so the set is likely not looking for the signal where it should.

After a power outage yesterday, my 24" Pure Flat Tube Stereo TV (TTM-2420) is not receiving power. (the glowing light on front of TV is not on and the TV cannot be turned on) I don't know how long power...

Surge protectors are meant to trip whenever an outage occurs to prevent component damage. If possible remove back panel and check if any fuses were burned. If all looks normal then your component is most likely fried.
