It depends on your tv, you will not be able to get hi-def through this reciever(to old).
If your tv has an s-video in that will be the best you can do with that reciever.
Get back with me and I will walk you through hookup.

SOURCE: Pioneer vsx-d902s

Hi Tracey

Most of these older machine had speaker switches on the front panel. Can you check what they are set to. It may be that both switches(A and B) are set in, or set out. this could present the problem you are having with no sound. turn on just one switch that corresponds the connections you have made on the rear (use speaker A) Another thing to check, is when you first turn on the amp, do you hear a relay click shortly after you switch on. If you don't hear this delayed click, then there may well be a problem in the output stages of the amp. If this is the case, then you will need to take it to a tech to have a look and see what has failed in the amp. Hope this info helps, if you have any questions, I am happy to try and help you further.

SOURCE: Owner's Manual - Pioneer VSX 455 Receiver

It should be compatible with all of them. I have one that works just fine with my Sony HD/TV, HD DVD PLAYER, etc. The only difference is that its is stereo w/ a middle speaker hook up, if you so desire.

I find it just as enjoyable and easy to use as my Denon 6.1 with fewer speakers. That is because as men, our hearing range is poorer especially as we grow older.

Email me with any other concerns you may have.

Thanks,

SOURCE: Pioneer VSX-D411 receiver "Amp Error" message

Hello,
Unfortunatelly your receiver has failed. The front panel is telling you one of the power modules is probably bad. Not an DIY type of repair. These parts are near $40.00, plus cost of replacing.
Look at options to replace your trusted receiver with a new one.
Good luck

SOURCE: Pioneer vsx-819H: MCACC setup won't display on tv

Its because the pioneer does not display menu options through hdmi. You have to hook up basic yellow composite to monitor out.

I'd recommend you go for minimal receiver involvement in the video side other than to send composite video to the TV from "Monitor Out" so you can set up and manage the receiver.

Your video sources will suffer fewer video anomalies if you send their best video directly to the TV and their best audio directly to the receiver. That way everything is handled only once by the best electronics you have for the function.

Can I use my Pioneer VSX-D412 receiver to hook up my surround system to my new Samsung HDTV?

Yes, both receiver and tv have optical/digital connectors, or alternatively, the S-video connector. The Pioneer will decode the compressed 5.1 signal coming from the tv unit.

I have a motorolla DSR505 sattelite receiver that I want to connect to my Pioneer VSX-1019AH-K audio/video receiver. The sattelite receiver has a DVI output jack so I have a DVI to HDMI cable to connect it...

The DVI output usually transmits only video (I'm almost 90% sure about this). It would be better if you did not use the DVI to HDMI cable. Receivers and displays can be very picky when it comes to using HDMI. Your Motorola DSR505 has other output options on its rear. I would suggest using the Component out for video (the 3 outputs colored green, blue and red) and either an optical or coaxial for the audio. The Pioneer VSX 1019 AH-K has the required inputs. Of course, you would require new component and coaxial/optical cables to do the job.
Hope this helps. If you're still in a tangle, you can consult the Official Thread on the Pioneer VSX 1019 AH-K on avsforum. There are a lot of helpful people out there.

Im trying to hook my pioneer vsx-d409 multi channel receiver to work with my new3 philips hdtv. it would not work please help

What isn't it doing - audio, video, both? What model is the TV. How are you trying to do it. Do you have the manual? The simplest hookup is to just have the a single RCA cable from "TO TV Monitor" to a Video In on the TV. Modifications may be required depending on what else you have for video sources and how they're attached.

Go here for it. Register and search for things, like vsx-d409...
