Edirol UA-101 I have an AMD x2 4400, 2gb of ram running Windows XP 64 bit. I bought an Edirol UA-101 about 6 months ago and my setup worked fine until about 4 weeks ago when the computer would randomly freeze and require a reboot, this only happens when using the UA-101, with the UA-101 switched off the pc is flawless. I have replaced the UA-101 and reinstalled Windows and drivers but nothing fixes it - what has changed from making my setup a good studio to one that is impossible to work with?

This could be a software/driver conflict from something you recently installed 4 weeks ago. I would see if there's an updated version of the driver to fix the issue. If not, retrace your steps and see if you possibly installed anything that could be causing the conflict.

SOURCE: ua 101 driver won't install on windows 7 64 bit

Officially Microsoft says that 32bit drivers are not supported on a 64bit system. Check hardware manufacture for updated drivers. Good luck.

Ua-20 driver for window 8

After reading this article and relative discussions http://www.pcpro.co.uk/blogs/2012/08/06/getting-older-drivers-to-work-in-windows-8/
I've tried installing manually the Windows Vista 64 bit driver published in Edirol site and it works! I'm still not sure that all features are working (I'll try them later) but now the driver is correctly installed and the Audio IN/OUT is working.
